Upon inspecting some other comments, I see people saying that this EP'll be her last work (like, literally, last. There'll be no more releases in the future). And it may be true, I see (I don't use social media that much btw, so I don't know the exact deets regarding this situation). Also, at least she does some proper goodbye lol (like telling to the fans that she'll quit doing music upon releasing this EP etc. I'm sure she's aware that the fans' reaction will vary, but she did this for the best of us)...
To be honest with ya'll, I'm surprised (very, even)...
But hey:
Everybody keeps moving on: I keep moving on, ya'll good people keep moving on, etc. Mama Kika here is no exception either, of course...
Welp, just want to support her nonetheless heehee. Maybe someday I can even meet her on the streets of Seoul when she's buying some groceries or just when she's doing some mundane activites, just to say thanks to her that her music has brightened my day sooo much lol (or simply because I'm a sucker for modern CityPop, idk lol. But even then, I don't really enjoy the other modern CityPop artists as much as I enjoy her, so maybe I really am a fan of her hahah). I'm pretty sure that as a fan, we also have to appreciate our fave's choices, and I deeply understand that...
Please, mama Kika. You have made ourselves happy for this time being. You also have come sooo far (from being a model in Japan, being a Mixnine contestant, IM@s RGP, solo debut at a game company, and in Ubuntu).
Now make yourself happy with anything you have right now!

유키카는 이미 몇년전 근황올림픽에서 서울여자 이후로 가수도 연기도 이미 해볼만큼 해봤으니 미련없이 은퇴하려고 했다고 말한적이 있기때문에 찐팬들은 마음의 준비를 어느정도 했을거같아요 라우드-g, 인섬니아 앨범이 좀 더 시간을 끌어줬을뿐이지 인스타글처럼 이미 오래전에 마음 먹은듯..복합적인 의미로 지쳤던거같아요 행복한 가정꾸리고 잘 살길 바랄게요 고마웠어요!

the world went into emotional withdrawal after Yukika disappeared when we needed her most.. no one was serving city pop realness as much as her… she heard the cries and pleads of the citizens below and decided then she needed to get back in the studio and release soty… saving the word with her last soty… thank you Yukika.

I'm glad shes dropping an album but damn am i sad its gonna be her last. Her music was a gem to find. Started listening when she debut and it's been refreshing to listen to when all the mainstream kpop was a bit too much. Just hearing her vocals progress over the years. I will cherish all her music.

Yeah! She's the only artist that I know in Kpop who embraced City Pop genre this big! Her music is a breath of fresh air. Kpop nowadays is no longer Kpop for me. They sound so Western. So Yukika's music gets us back to "basics". ❤
