    Because of our handgun roster these are still being produced for the CA market despite being discontinued from what I understand. A pretty big batch of all TRPs popped up at a few LGSs recently after a four+ year absence. There may be a few full rails still floating around in the state. Seems CA is the haven for new two decade old guns selling at MSRP or above.

    My one and only 1911 in my collection...got it in a trade for another unicorn. I came accross a used HK USP Compact 9mm in stainless with 6 mags night sights and light which i fell in love with unfortunately the curved triggrer would throw me off and i could barely shoot the thing...couple months later a guy off Armslist showed interest in in and wanted to trade for a couple Glocks and showed me the TRP as a possible trade...welp I turned down the Glocks and held out 3 months to when he eventually agreed to a one to one trade...love the TRP and honestly i dont shoot it as often as i should and its a safe queen the majority of the time ive owned it.

    Just curious if there are any reasons I shouldn’t use the stock mags for range days? Do the stock mags cause any damage to the TRP Operator? It seems to be a common comment to toss the stock mags in the trash. Great video!

    • @rdrgear
      @rdrgear  10 месяцев назад +3

      Not at all, there are some benefits to after marker mags, in terms of springs and followers. I have always preferred the Wilson combat mags, since they are 8 round mags,

      @@rdrgear Ok after the first day at the range, I now understand why everyone says to chuck the stock mags in the trash 😂
      Went through 300 rounds with no issues except after about 250 rounds the slide wasn’t going fully into battery without a bump to the back of the slide with the fully loaded 7rd stock mags. Once it was into battery it did shoot all 7rds without a hiccup. I also had 2 Wilson Combat 8rd mags and 2 KCI 8rd mags which all ran flawless.
      Thank you again for the tip on KCI mags! I would not have even considered them because they were so cheap! I just ordered 8 more KCI mags so I’d have these KCI mags for range days!
