Went through 300 rounds with no issues except after about 250 rounds the slide wasn’t going fully into battery without a bump to the back of the slide with the fully loaded 7rd stock mags. Once it was into battery it did shoot all 7rds without a hiccup. I also had 2 Wilson Combat 8rd mags and 2 KCI 8rd mags which all ran flawless.
Thank you again for the tip on KCI mags! I would not have even considered them because they were so cheap! I just ordered 8 more KCI mags so I’d have these KCI mags for range days!
@@Esteb858 kci makes some great stuff.
@@rdrgearcan I ask why you use the 8 round Wilson mag instead of the 10 round mag?
Great pistol
FYI: The MAC JSOC has literally nothing to do with the Military Arms Channel (thank God).
Came here to say this. Not sure where he got that info from.
@@jstone530 this video had a few inconsistencies.
Springfield custom shop doesn't exist anymore.
Seriously???
Yep they only do sights. They did custom work to my operator about 10 years ago. I called a few months ago to have them make me a threaded barrel for my prodigy and they said they don’t do that work anymore. Sad because they used to be really good.
I also have a TRP with the 3 dot night sights, love it but I’m getting old and cant see the sights very well anymore. Do you have a special prescription you use for the new glasses you were talking about?
Jealous brother. That is my Grail Springer next to a Pro. Congrats
My Springfield Operator has been a Jam-O-Matic. Sent it back to Illannoy for warranty work. Should get it back this week. My Springfield Champion was a great 1911, so the Operator’s teething problems were a surprise.
The operator is a solid gun the new operators I have heard of some issues. The great thing about those operators. They make a great blank canvas to upgrade
@@rdrgear Got it back and out 50 230g FMJ, had two failure to feeds, which is a huge improvement. One FTF was likely my fault as thumb probably hit slide stop/release. Operator is very accurate. Before if it had more than three shots without a jam, it was a cause for joy.
I’ve got one for sale, full rail less than 50 rounds through it.
@tythurman8583
How much?
“An Operator” - Snake
How’s the QC compared to Dan Wesson?
I have a full rail TRP and had a Wesson previously. The Springfield looks and feels like it was built by people. The Dan Wesson, to me, seemed like a soulless robot- built gun. Quality on my TRP is excellent.
This was the first gun i ever owned. I wanted it so bad. I will never sell it.
How much $$$$
I had one. The 3/4 rail model. Badass looking but it would not feed Speer Gold dot nor Golden Saber hp's no matter what I tried Meanwhile my MC Operator, S&W 4566TSW and later Tisas Raider did. I didn't want to sell it but I didn't want to buy another batch of ammo just for this.
Had they NOT used any MIM parts.... They would have so many more buyers... Otherwise good gun worth considering
Have you personally known a mim part to break in a gun ?🤔
Everything breaks.
But it’s not about that, like having fake leather in $100,000 car. Springfield went down hill 15-20 years ago.
Serious drool. Grail 45.
I like the half rail.
I just emailed you on your website. I have this same setup in a Rock Island Armory with the full rail and TLR1. Looking for a holster for it. Hope you can help! Thanks.
