MabiVsGames I made the mistake of putting it on hard mode, and it is REAL hard, but there is no one I am starting over. I like the old Fallout 1 & 2 and the visuals remind me of that a lot. I would like to beat it eventually, but it seems like I'll have to invest some Skyrim hours for that. lol. I subscribed to your channel btw.
Great video, superlative game. 8:48 There are a few ways to fast travel. The tower of Tremadan has fast travel to both Northern Inori and Freetown and the Wizard tower's portals can teleport you to pretty much anywhere.
Plus anyone can use scroll of Recall (teleport from dungeon to nearest town) and if you have 2 INT (or 1 INT and 1 item with 1 INT) anyone can use a Scroll of Teleport.
It's quite fun (I go live on Twitch almost every day! Come hang out with us! www.twitch.tv/mabivsgames) Also join our public Discord and chat with me here: discord.gg/5Pnwcah)
It has surprising depth this game.I like how you unlock things further into the game and actual new mechanics rather than just simply more of the same. It's also one those games you want to play more of once you get further in.
Nice video review. I have been playing it on its first release on Android. I ended the game a few times and the story is catchy, it has iteresting cliffhangers and lots of humor. It's worth noticing that it is done by just one dev, a spanish guy. It has a healthy community and the dev has been always very attentive. Haven't tried on pc though. Cheers!
picked this game up 2 days ago, just hit level 12. when i finally got to level 9 i realized just how cool the character customization is. rouge warrior or cleric kinda got it easy for training new skills. for the mage however. the grind is real bruh...... pretty cool though. skill trainers opening up new trainable skills as you gain reputation in specific factions that you can mix and match to really build *your own* character. unlike any other rpg ive played on a hand held device that has actually made me want to make time to play it. and a nice saving grace. if you dont like your build. you can always go to the warriors hall and spend a mass amount of gold to rebuild your stat or skill tree. nothing worse than putting days into a character and realize that you messed up that one thing that can never be undone. you and i had pretty much the same first impression, except i picked mine up on the phone. when i heard about it having a pc conversion thats when i found your vid. wanted to see what people were saying about the control interface. solid review btw. would be interested to see your thoughts on the game further in

This game is an absolute gem. I beat this on Android the first time with the warrior(Sewer of Horrors was absolutely EPIC), then years later I got it on PC and beat it with the mage(chose to really go in with the Varannari in this one, they're awesome and their route is awesome). Years later, I'm playing again with the Cleric(planning on fully going in for The Three), and I'm still excited about exploring the dungeons. And the story is amazing.
I have a question, did you go further on the game? Because the story is amazing, super immersive and humourous too. This game is like a combination of many good games: the difficulty of dark souls, the rich and immersive lore like Diablo, and the freedom and fun of GTA.
@@MabiVSGames I did. And without me spoiling anything, the ending ends up switching the genre of the story in the craziest, most awesome way I've ever experienced in over 2 decades of gaming. It's absolutely worth playing in your spare time to finish the story. And the end game content provides ample challenge after you finish the main plot. From magical sewers that lead to alternate dimensions to a temple in the mountains that houses super powerful demons, there's actually plenty to do after beating the game.
Oh that's one thing I didn't mention, :D 🔴Join our Discord and hang out with me and the community: discord.gg/5Pnwcah 🔴Watch my daily Twitch streams here: bit.ly/1REEYkC

Thanks for the review and good job. I am always looking for these types of games on steam. I will be getting this. Have you tried the remastered Avernum games or Avadon trilogy from Spiderweb Games? They are on steam and are awesome open world isometric turn based RPGs with surprisingly deep stories. Like this game, the graphics aren't great but they grow on you. Really, the only thing lacking in them is a music soundtrack, but I will usually play some sort of fantasy music off youtube while playing them and it works great. Keep up the good work and you got another sub.
Oh, Avernum! I saw it on Steam awhile back but never got around to playing it. Thanks so much for subbing! Look forward to a lot more First Impression / Review types of videos. I got some planned coming up soon, :D
There is a $4 price to get the full game, but I highly recommend it. Unlike other mobile games that claim to be addicting, this game really is. The story is so good and it isn’t a button masher, you’re never OP, and there are consequences to your actions.
Great game and great review. I discovered it and curently playing it on Android, didn't know it was also on PC. Note: I personally don't like when good articulate people like yourself fill their videos with background music (though you mixed it decently, it's still tiresome).
A lot of people mentioned the music. I've learned to tone it down by now, :D Follow me on Twitch and come by when you can!: bit.ly/1REEYkC Join our Discord and hang out with me and the community: discord.gg/5Pnwcah
I enjoyed your review, informative and interesting. I started playing this rpg and was initially not impressed either...I WAS WRONG! The more I started playing the more I realised what an enormous and complex game world I had stumbled into. It reminded me of Ultima, Might and Magic, Bards Tale and Diablo, Sacred gold, Baldurs gate, Icewind Dale etc...mixed and even Skyrim in world complexity. Runescape without the other players looting your gear. When I lost my gear and got locked up in the main quest I was actually upset and got annoyed at being locked up - immersive, and then the relief and happiness at getting it back. Levelling up and getting new gear feels exciting...no spoon feeding massive spam of drops here, YOU EARN YOUR POWER! Many dialogue choices impact the game world. Subbed to your channel and look forward to seeing more 😁👍 THIS GAME IS A TOP PLAY - YOU WILL BE HAPPY YOU SINK TIME INTO IT!
For some reason, I have played this game to death. I spent a month going back to the ship with my wizard until I had every single ability. It pisses me off they make it so hard - after a certain point it should just be the same exp per lvl, if someone wants to play that far. I also have a Rogue, their arrows are almost better than the wizards wands, but I didn't try to max him out. This is an absolutely excellent and playable pocket game, it's got a great story, tons of loot and crazy items, and it's GUI and overall vibe is intuitive and works well. If anyone wants the save files, hit me up.
Great impressions/review but the music really kills it for me and I can't turn it off and still hear you. It needs to be very very low in any video where talking is the most important thing. It should also be way more ambient atmospheric rather than heavy beats and percussion.
@@MabiVSGames Still playing never got higher than lv. 13, 1st try was easy mode rogue, thought maybe lev. quicker normal as warrior lv. 13 now lv. 10 cleric. Will keep trying maybe skip quest
Great video, cheers. Love the oldschool isometric RPGs, just purchased it & Subbed.
Thanks a lot, Kaptain Krunch! I'll be doing a lot more of these types of videos to please stay tuned, :D
I find it amazing that only one person created and developed this whole game.

first 9 seconds and i think you have a voice that should be on the radio. Or keep doing this. its smooth. like a radio DJ for a jazz station on the FM
Freeport was 100% reference to old school everquest 8D
You can fast travel with the wizard tower for a price.
