You sharing sure motivates me to do the same. My husband and I just talked about making tamales, we prefer the corn meal tamales instead of the fresh corn, but they are good as well. I just didn't grow up with them. I definitely want to freeze corn as well again this year. My husband and I canned peaches and bread and butter pickels today, sure was fun doing it together. I like your videos and seeing all that you accomplish.

That sounds so fun! It would be a record if I saw Johnny helping me can 😂 he dose not enjoy working in the kitchen, but is such a huge help when he plays with Jomiahs...

I have never tried tamales, and never made them.
They look good, but looks very time consuming. Awesome team work

    Hi Justina,
Everything looks so good! I haven’t had tamales in years. When living in Toronto, Ontario there was a festival called, Caravan, where you paid for a passport and had it stamped at all the venues around the city. Many cities were represented from around the world and had food and entertainment. The event lasted for two weeks. I tasted my first, and only tamales at the Mexico City pavilion. Delicious!!
Your RUclips videos are brilliant! I have no idea how to make a video at all. We can’t be perfect, and I find the “bloopers” are the best!! Lol
I used to love making jams, jellies and pickles. It’s only the two of us so I don’t preserve much anymore. I will make my green tomato mincemeat for Christmas, and chilli sauce when my tomatoes are ripe.
    ❤️🙏🏻😊

Sounds like a fun event! I think the tamales turned out really tasty.
I haven't canned much the last few years, so I'm trying to catch up a little. But we don't use a lot.

Y’all are delightful. My mother grew up in an old colony Mennonite community near Hague, Saskatchewan. Some members of her family emigrated to Mexico in the 1920 time frame. I have always been curious about it. You speak perfect English. Do you speak Spanish, German and the Plattdeutsch?

So interesting, 1920 is when my ancestors moved to Mexico. I do also speak Plautdietsch, and most things i read are in German, and I do understand some Spanish but don't speak it, although my Husband dose 😊
