Fleeting glimpse of my late dad at 9m50s in his toll box. Weird seeing him after almost 19 years. Thanks for posting

After my mum died, I ran out of family from down here, and I've found myself watching alot of videos of Dorset from when my mum and nan were still living here. 1996 was the first year I visited Poole when I was 4 years old. I love watching stuff like this, it's lovely to feel a bit more connected to my home :)

Studland was great when it was the beach for the locals. I'll never forget when my Mum visited me and went for a nice stroll through the dunes :D

So glad i found this video. Happy memories of holidays in Parkstone in the 70s and 80s and at my aunts who lived there. Used the 'old' ferry many times, glad to see it was later used as an oyster processing plant in Poole Harbour and still is i think?

I am used to the Mersey Ferry. I went down to Bournemouth for a few days, was thinking of going on the ferry, then saw how close it was to the other side!! Build a bridge!

Can't build a bridge, the Cherbourg car ferry's got to go through there.

The years before 2000 were great times and British people were by and large happy. Ever since then it's been downhill with all sorts of stuff to put up with not least mass immigration! This video reminds me of the good times.

It always amuses me that this is the 'Bournemouth and Swanage' ferry, but doesn't go to either town.
