You’ve got to be my favourite creator for tbr underconsumption, which may sound silly given how many books you own but honestly some times it’s hard seeing tbr’s like 300 books deep, your love for books radiates from you Rachel, I sense your passion so greatly and I love and appreciate you tackling your tbr and getting to the books we want you to read !!
yes!! i stopped watching some booktubers because of this... 200+ tbrs are actually insane
@@fifs7400 For me it depends, youtubers that have 200+ books in their TBR but read 30 books a year, that's absolutely ridiculous. BUT those who read 150/200 books a year, 200 books TBR is basically a year worth of reading which is not that crazy (it's not reasonable, but it is possible for them to actually go through all of them).
@@jessicajessica4392 but it never dies down ... they never read from the tbr and instead just buy more
I remember when Rach started reading after uni and "not knowing how to read for fun after having to read for studying" because i was in the same boat and then her discovering fantasy...what a journey it's been!

I just read Gentle and Lowly for the first time a month or two ago and I loved it! The audiobook is also read by the author and I highly recommend! I’m hoping it becomes a yearly reread :) So glad that you’re talking about it !!

If you want some more sci-fi books I’d definitely recommend A Thousand Pieces of you by Claudia Gray, The Light at the Bottom of the World by London Shah, Skyward by Brandon Sanderson, and Wool by High Howey (sci-fi and dystopian mix). These are all really good sci-fi books that I think you should try. I think you’d really enjoy them based on what you’ve already read in the genre.

I love listening to how you organise your books! I also hate mixing book height and would rather split the author hahah.
I've just finished Wisteria by Adalyn Grace and it's definitely my favourite in the series. It gave me a little bit of Howl's Moving Castle vibes, which I LOVE. That said, I listened to the audiobooks of both series, and both are narrated by Kristin Atherton (honestly the best narrator), so that might have strengthened that feeling for me.

I have a few books hand signed and personalised by Cassandra Clare when I met her over 10 years ago as a young teen in Melbourne 😊 I remember there were so many people and we waited ages but I went with a book club from my school.

I recommend the Super Powereds series by Drew Hayes and Ender's Game series by Orson Scott Card. Speaker for the Dead was actually my favorite from that series.

I'm currently reading the Ragamuffin Gospel by Brennan Manning and I'm really enjoying it.

Ok I need a recommendation… so I don’t read romance and don’t really like it honestly but I’ve been thinking I want to try something from that genre… I don’t do spice and I have tried Emily Henry before… do you have any recs that might also not be to long? I would love something that’s not a insta love… something maybe childhood friends to lovers or something that’s a slow burn?
The Spellshop is an adorable sort-of romance (more flirting, really) and the cover is fabulous!

@@elisabethprice4697 most of all you by mia sheridan! slow burn but still a short ish read. think there’s one spice scene but it’s very tender - or you can totally skip it! but there’s so much depth & the characters truly love each other by the end. I haven’t read archer’s voice yet (by the same author) but i know rachel would rec that too. check trigger warnings for both though. 🤍
