Thank you Jerry Garcia for getting all of those programmers in the 80s and 90s who, while listening to your extended jams and following the example of collaboration pioneered by GD and the tapers, built the internet so that bobaji could post this video or me and the rest of the World to savor and marvel at!
even if your not a dead fan, you most likely like terrapin station...as for me, its the Pinnacle of creativity and spiritual flow for all of the grateful dead...they were all invested in this one. and for this i thank you GD for you have shown me the way...To terrapin station
this show was broadcast on the local PBS station in SF; I couldn't get a ticket to the show, so I watched the concert, uninterrupted by commercials. Funny thing; the announcers on TV were high as kites on acid!
I watched this show a thousnad times as a teen on dvd and this is by far the most psychedelic amazing version of this song ever. The drums right after Donna jean and jerry scream Terrapin! the first time along with the little stop pause jerry does with the lead lick gives me shivers Mickey and bill are SO on this night. Best GD show ever?
@NotBillWalton I was there @ that concert. I was 19 yrs old..the Winterland was a place right across from Jim Jones Chuch. They just got back from Egypt & had pyramid shape complents going around. Located at the corner of Post Street and Steiner Street. There was no HD back then but this will be the best you see!
this song is so eloquently played, that it breaks my heart.
The band looks so happy as they're playing this.

It is the tone and the way Jerry embodies and emotes each word that resonates so deeply....
