My partner is a prison officer and 95% of the cons on his wing are sex offenders. I said what's the other 5% and they are there for their own safety for whatever reason.
What my OH said was that some sex offenders are very clever. Eh? What do you mean? They get away with their crimes for years, sometimes decades as they know how to cover their tracks. I'd never thought of it like that before.
How he can do his job, I don't know as I would want to go at them for their crimes. My OH says that you have to switch off. He hates the beasts as much as the next person and he cannot show his hate for the beasts on his wing.

When I was in Parkhurst, one of the screws left an inmate’s file open on the page with his offence on up against the inside of the office window while everyone was out on association. Turned out he was a bacon and none of us knew it. A lot of us used to speak to him before we knew as well. He managed to get himself off the wing before it came on top unfortunately.

I am a white Dutch, imprisoned in the UK for let's say drugs smuggling, is it common to join a group of the same race? Keep up the good work mate! Greetings and kind regards from Netherlands.

Thank you for the video. From my understanding grasses and sex offenders are the lowest of the prison hierachy. What kind of offences are at the top of the top of the higherachy? Also can I clarify are men who hit women, old people, children and disabled people and people who abuse animals are they all on the lower end of the prison higherachy?

What happens to people with learning difficulties who have for example autism or ADHD assuming they are in prison for a normal crime like fraud, ABH, driving whilst disqualified ect? Dp those people get bullied because other prisoners will quickly realise that they are different or are the tough guys likely to protect them and say it's tight to bully someone who is mentally disabile?

I want your guys opinion on my situation. I was in General Population for five years in Missouri DOC. I was a sex offender. I always had my paperwork ready and my transcripts from trial. My situation was that i was having a consensual relationship with a 23 yo woman and i was 24. Unfortunately i got blackout drunk one night and put my hands on her inappropriately. She insisted that i not be prosecuted for the offense and stated that she liked me and wanted to continue our relationship and that what i had done was so out of charecter and that i needed to quit drinking, not go to prison. I never had any problems because of my offense. Every fight i got in was over something stupid like work out equipment. Never had to pay to stay. Family values asked me to pay twice and both times i told them i would rather get my ass beat every time i got out of the hole then give someone what little i have. Im sure ill get alot of hateful and judgemental comments from people. And rightfully so. I think most sex offenders should never be let out of prison. I understand why people judge anyone with the label i have. I did something wrong and deserve to be held accountable for it. But i also want you guys to realize not everyone with that label is a child molester or rapist. And depending on how up front you are everyones experience in prison is not the same.

I’m my experience, diaper snipers or violators get extorted if they somehow hit mainline. They don’t typically hurt them too badly cause the prison higher ups love to hand out street charges to these freaks!

Is prison the right place for them?
There should not be a VP wing in prisons, they should be left to the laws of the jungle like in the old days. Anyone who commits sex offences against children should never be given opportunity to offend again, child abuse leads to massive problems in society. All the best Ricky 👍🥊🇦🇺

Protecting sex offenders in prison doesn't make sense because people in prison already knew the risks before getting sent there.
Guess what they need to be protected period. 95 to 97 % are not on a registry for sex offenses.
Then why don't we divide all prison cells up by all crimes committed?
That way Larry the Embezzler doesn't have to worry about getting killed by a guy convicted of malice murder.
