When someone sings a different part of the brain is activated than when they speak, that's why a lot of people with stutters or other speech impediments will sound normal when singing
It is because singing can be done without thinking about words. When you're a "foreigner" you can learn a song in any language just by the sounds not even knowing what it means and if you're a pro singer you will sound just the same. Then you can try to actually learn the language and fail at pronouncing things right. It's just a different approach to speach.
I heard her speak English before, it took me awhile to realize that she’s not an American. But then again, Europeans especially Dutch, Swedish, and Norwegians can speak English very well. I wouldn’t be surprised if some even speak better English than some people where I live (which is Tennessee).

Well, I'm very critical about music, especially vocals, but this...this is out of this world! I actually never heard this song till now, but I can safely say that I listened to it at least 100 times by now. This will remain my absolute favorite cover of this song, period!
