It is the cornrows for me. Yoshi did well and seems like a personable hair dresser. He has a bubbling personality about him. He "understood the assignment." Also nice q & a on his a page.
Chilo thank you for teaching our favorite Japanese hairstylist how to handle black girl hair🤣🤣🤣 I’m happy to see you both. He’s just a bubbly amazing soul of a human! I subscribed-to Bosksu by the way and almost finished the box!! Thank your Chilo💗💗💗
In London (where i am) if you go to a European hair salon they just turn you down most of the time or say they can't so won't (in my experience) though the difference is there are loads of Afro-African salons here. So YOSHI IS A LEGEND! 😁
It's really cool that someone is so open and excited to try something new. So great job on convincing him to do it! The result is great ✨ and I want to try the sweets !!! Crossing fingers
Yoshi did a great job! 10/10! It was good that you encouraged him to try this style as crochet is very simple (as he learnt). Going to check out the Q&A - interested to see what he'll ask you!
How fun! I’ve enjoyed learning about these different ways of doing hair. I am blond with tons of fine, wavy hair. Admittedly I’m jealous of how much you can do with yours.
Oh I totally agree with you, I’m an 64 year old white British lady with mousey brown fine hair, that I keep long because it’s easier to just tie it up. I look at a black woman and immediately suffer from hair envy. I understand that black hair takes a lot to keep it in tip top condition but it is worth the effort because it alway seems to look so fantastic. My white woman hair just seems so boring. Still they say you always want what you can’t have.
Fun video. Merry Christmas to you both and may the New year be filled with joy and blessings for you. Stay blessed Hon. Edit. To score Yoshi, he did a very good job for first time. I will score a 8 out of 10. A few more times and he will be a master. 😁
Finally somebody said something about the teacher too 😅😅... Teaching is not easy too 😂😂 but having an inquisitive student like Yoshi makes it worth it sha
Yushi started from the extreme end of the back hence most of the weavons that would have serve the front edges of your hair were spent on back. I would suggest if one is a novice , calculate the number of cornrows you plaited and the number of strands of weavons you have and distribute them accordingly. For example, let say you have 10 cornrows and 60 strands of weavons, then averagely each cornrow should have like six strands of weavons and space them out evenly. Note the last cornrow on the left hand side and the right hand side could have like 4 or 5,( bcos they are usually smaller than other cornrow) . Anyway, yushi tried and the hair is ok.
To be honest with you... weavon was not a problem in this video...as a matter of fact I still had some untouched packs that I went back with. I gave him the spacing I wanted especially because I don't like too full braids
Where I live, people of color are only like 20% of the overall population, and we tend to stick to our own when it comes to salons. My hair is very thick and curly, but a softer texture. I wear it natural. I don't blow dry or straighten it. I like to go to a place like Supercuts, that gets you in and out. I can't do the 2-3+ hours my mom, cousin and friends do at the other places. Not with the way my patience is set up. 😄 Thing is, they don't get many clients of color with textured hair, so sometimes I get a new stylist who has never done my hair before, and they get nervous. I assure them that she is more bark than bite. My hair takes longer to get really wet than normal, but once she's there, she's easy to manage. And I'm not looking for a crazy hair style at the end. Judy shampoo and condition. I had this one male stylist who was so nervous in the beginning, but happy and proud at the end, that he made it through. He kept thanking me for the opportunity. He said I was his first Black client outside of cosmetology school. Which he attended 4 years back. And even then, it was only twice. In one way it seems weird that hair would confound and confuse people, but in another way, off you're not used to doing something, then you're just not used to it.
It was a very good experience!! Please tell me what I can do that I can't find in Japan again 😁 Thank you ☺️
Yayyy 😁😁💃💃. Excited to teach you more things 😁
