This is one of my favorite Forestella performances. Let’s be real. The reason Forestella performances like these aren’t that popular as reaction videos is due to the fact that the song isn’t originally done by a K-pop group like BTS or EXO or isn’t in a language other than Korean. Most people aren’t familiar with old Korean songs like this, so the reactors know they most likely won’t get a lot of views.
This song was originally sung by a group called The Classic. This album was released in ‘94. It was one of the first Korean cds I ever got, so this song holds a fairly special place in my heart.

This song is not Forestella's original song. Since the program called Immortal Songs covers songs by legendary singers, they mainly covered songs with Korean lyrics. Their original songs are also great. However, it uses more English than Korean lyrics. This is because the nature of crossover music suits English better than Korean, and another reason is that the crossover market in Korea is very narrow. They strive to move further into the global market.
The last note was played by Mingyu. However, when deciding on a singing part, Forestella is chosen by the member who can express it best and suits it well, so the countertenor's area is mainly handled by Hyeong-ho. Hyungho is a member who specializes in the area of high notes. Of course, the bass range is also sufficient. Every member can play every note. As you may have seen in the song part change video, Doohun can also do falsetto.
But they all express themselves best in the areas they excel at. At Part Change, we realized this. Why they shine the brightest in their field.
The last note was sung by Min-gyu!

I am very happy that you liked this song, it is one of my favorites ❤👏🥰, as people have already told you, this is also a cover but like most Korean songs we do not know them because they seem new/original to us, in turn I think that for that's why many people don't pay as much attention to them, but definitely in many of the Korean songs their harmonies are even more impressive than in the international covers, don't stop searching that repertoire because there are real gems.
And yes, the last note that Mingyu makes (because he is the one who makes it even though some are questioning it) is impressive.

Para los que no conocen y dudan/niegan que él es capaz de llegar al rango de contratenor (o cuál sea porque yo no me aclaro jajaja) les invito a que vean este breve video en el que se ve que él si es capaz de hacer esas altísimas notas y que, en otras interpretaciones de esta canción, se ve, sin lugar a dudas, que es él quien la hace y no Hyung Ho (yo entiendo que por esta versión exista la duda porque no se aprecia bien y sobre todo porque estamos acostumbrados a las increíbles notas que nos regala HH ❤, pero eso no es motivo para afirmar lo que no es verdad y que muchos sabemos...😅 restándole así a Min Gyu)

이 노래의 원작은 1994년 밀리언셀러였던 이란 그룹의 앨범 수록곡에서 시작했는데, 당시 비슷한 분위기 가사를 가진 다른 보컬그룹의 또 다른 히트곡이 있어서, 그 당시에는 두 노래를 착각하는 사람이 생기기도 했습니다.
싱어송라이터였던 작곡가는 자신이 속한 그룹의 앨범 뿐 아니라 솔로 싱글, 보이 소프라노 싱글(당시 반응이 제일 좋았음), 제작자(유명 락커였음) 및 다른 가수들과의 콜라보 락 넘버 등 다양한 리믹스 버전을 연달아 발매했는데, 포레스텔라의 은 더 클래식의 오리지널 곡에 보이 소프라노 버전을 참고해 부른 것으로 보입니다.
이 노래는 재미있는 비하인드도 갖고 있는데, 작곡가가 노래를 만들 당시 극심한 스트레스에 시달리다가 즐겨하던 비디오게임인 에서 영감을 얻어 단숨에 만들었다는 이야기를 가요 순위 프로그램에서 직접 밝힌 적 있습니다.
이를 본 네티즌들이 가사에 란 구절을 화제 삼았는데, 한 네티즌이 "게임 속 그대(공주)는 동굴에 있었지만, 왕자는 성을 탈출 후 숲을 지난 게 아니라, 늪을 지나서 어둠의 동굴로 갔는데 왜 가사는 그렇게 썼느냐"고 농담하자(동굴 탈출 후 엔딩에 잠깐 숲이 나오긴 했던 듯), 작곡가는 인터넷에 올라온 글을 보고 제목을 로 할 걸 그랬다고 댓글을 달아주기도 했죠.

They did this in the second final to lift the burden off Hyungho's shoulders after the incident that happened during the first round of finals. I had never seen these videos, the 1st one is a still image so hard to tell and the other one on the last note they look at each other and sing at the same time. But if you say it's Mingyu, I accept. Anyway I love this band.@@mongji1022

원본 제대로 보세요. 마지막 하이파트는 민규입니다. 민규도 카운터테너 가능해요. 하지만 확실한 카운터테너인 형호가 있기때문에 대부분 형호가 카운터테너를 맡고 민규는 중음을 많이 하죠. 포레는 항상 가장 어울리는 목소리에 파트를 정합니다. 마법의성은 워낙 민규소리에 어울리는 곡이라서 마지막 하이를 민규가 한거 같아요. 김주택님이 민규가 부르는 마법의성을 꼭 듣고싶다고 얘기했었죠.
