Thank you man! Completely agree. It's not just a magnificent knife, it's magnificent knife shaped art. In person the Shokwood handle has the most intense visual presence. It looks constantly different in real time and under different light levels because you can see "in to" it. The color and visual image has the same quality as James Webb telescope images of nebula and galaxy clusters.
@@davidsapir9638I would be honored to be stabbed by such a piece... hahaha.. jk.. gorgeous build you picked from Buck! I have a basic 119, a 21st birthday present from a buddy that's been gone many years. I love these knives
What an incredible knife. Ive been a huge fan of Buck knives since i was a kid. I grew up in San Diego where Buck started making knives after WWII. When i was a kid, Buck was all anyone ever had.
Thanks for the video. I have been considering the purchase of a new BUCK Custom, but I have been having trouble deciding on which one and how much to spend. You just sealed the deal. Thanks once again
That is one of the best looking Buck knives I have ever seen. I was unaware that Buck had a custom shop and although the little Miss will undoubtedly hate you for that bit of info. Sir I am a kid on Christmas over it so glad I saw this video now if you'll excuse me I need to get a good attorney on retainer. Better safe than sorry.
Beautiful. I’ve owned several Buck knives over the years and never been disappointed in their products. Nothing of this magnitude have I owned but just the average working knives. I sent a knife one time that was super, super rough and I tried to repair it. Sent it in in pieces and it came back looking like new….
This is one wicked looking knife! I always liked the look of them & they do sell at the local Canadian Tire near me for 69.99 if I remember correctly!? Just the standard black on silver handle which still looks very good.
For the sake of the knife, I hope you use it! I wish you a lot of incredible adventures with this beauty and when you pass it over to your grandchildren it should tell them phenomenal stories. Greetings from the biggest Buck knife fan in Austria 🇦🇹 (at least in body size 😊)
Hey can you somehow post or send a picture debating between this and elk. Which one you think is better ? Since you’ve seen both. Gonna get it in magnacut
@@lilchiefz2932 I'm in the same boat. Magnacut is by far a superior steel but the chipflint takes the blade to another level on decoration and has a look that pairs perfectly with shockwood and brass. The shockwood has some darkness to it so I think it pairs better with the chipflint. The elk is white which gives a clean look with the magnacut. Chipflint looks great with the elk too. I'm thinking either shockwood - chipflint, or elk - magnacut as the combos to go with. The plain jane phenolic--nickel-magnacut is actually a bargain on it's own for a 6 inch magnacut fixed blade at around 200 dollars. Magnacut is likely the best stainless steel in the world for knives so for Buck to only charge 75 extra is a bargain.
I truly thought I hit my WOW factor apex when I first unboxed my WE Ziffius folder with black titanium, blue lightning anodized inlay handle and Hakkapella Damasteel blade. Only 150 were made. Talk about a drop dead gorgeous folder. This Buck 119 custom cost half as much and it's so otherworldly stunning. That's why I made this video, I just had to share it, and I'm so floored by how many people have watched, liked and commented. Thank you!
Just received mine today with mirror finish blade. So upset the hand guard has noticeable play. So I’m sending it back to fix it. Otherwise it was perfect with no imperfections. I have around 20 of the 119’s and none of them ever came loose.
Man I'm sorry to hear your unboxing experience was spoiled by such a noticeable problem. Sounds like otherwise the knife is incredible looking. When your knife is returned to you the way it should be, I hope you'll check back in on how they did making things right for you. If you speak to or email a customer service rep, maybe you could request Connor Burns take care of your knife after seeing his work featured on this video. And if possible a pic of that beauty when you get it back! That mirror finish blade must look so good.
I’m trying to save money to buy a Beretta 1301 shotgun and now I’m sooooo tempted to dip into that money and order a custom 119!!!!!! Why RUclips did you put this video in my recommendeds??? 😂
What a sexy knife. Buck makes really good knives. I wonder how much that beauty cost? ... i bet a small fortune, or at least it cost enuff to make me nervous were i to carry it in the outdoors.
I have used Buck knives for more than 40 years and have always been satisfied with the quality. I am disappointed that some of them are now made and China! I don't believe that the Chinese knives are as high of quality as the ones made in America.

Your lucky. As soon as i unboxed my custom buck i packaged it back up and sent it back to be re made. It was absolutely terrible. The worst fit and finish iv ever even seen on a knife. The wobble in the blade was insane and the amount of crud was stupid. I thought it was hilarious, it came in anice box like the 1 you have and a card signed by the person who made it. His signature looked like my 3 year old sons signature. Its being totally re built as we speak. Ill never order another knife from their custom shop. Not when they have children working in there anyway

Buck's sales are going down the pan because they now make garbage standard knives and charge OTT prices for them and their QC is about the worst in the US knife making industry, there's have also been a notable amount of posts concerning poorly made " Custom " Buck knives in many FB groups over a good many years right up to the present day. Buck bank of brainwashed Americans buying their products because Buck have convinced Americans that it's unpatriotic to not buy them, that's Buck's BS for you! I've bought Buck knives for decades but I stopped in 2021 after receiving two 119 Pro's, two 120 Pro's, and a Buck Legacy Edition Kalinga all is S35VN and ALL of them were piss poorly made, it was just one disappointment after another and I had Buck send me shots of others they had in stock and they were all abysmal. Chuck Jr ( CJ Buck ) is demented, he's not in touch with reality and he sure as hell isn't in touch with the American people not unless ripping them off is acceptable which sadly it appears he thinks is. Their lifetime guarantee is their method of passing quality control onto the customer and that's a despicable as Buck shouldn't be letting these reject knives leave the factory. After generations of my family buying Buck knives, the BUCK now stops here! My sons and daughters won't go anywhere near them after the fiasco of the Pro's and the Legacy Kalinga with their asymmetrical grinds and asymmetrical primary edge bevels! It's now un American to BUY Buck knives as they now stand for pretty much ALL that is wrong with US made knives when other companies are getting it RIGHT!
