- Took the long drive south to Cape May NJ. Our first time at Carol Nicoletta Memorial Park. The day started with calm wind and glassy waters, caught more than expected crabs for the first days of June. Beautiful place! Then suddenly the winds blew and the fog rolled in. Still caught 25 crabs ! Had some coffee and pork adobo for lunch. Enjoy the video🥰🦀!!!

Good afternoon sir I know you probably do recognize my name Bass so you guys must live in Jersey Kush a crabbing in Jersey and you guys do pretty good gotta hand it to you guys you and your wife you guys catch a lot of crabs I went crabbing Sunday got stuck in the storm but I still called crabs since I only live by myself I picked up a dozen crabs couple of pregnant female which I threw back what you guys do and the top it off I caught me a nice 2 lb Lobster so keep those videos rolling everytime you post up a video I always watch it
Thanks so much for watching🥰! Wow! You went crabbing that stormy Sunday. We do like crabbing on rainy days. Sometimes we’ll catch more when it’s raining. We’ve never caught a lobster before though. That was a great catch and a great dinner! There are still good days for crabbing, water is still warm. Good luck on your next trip🥰!!!
@@thandastones888 thank you well you know what Staten Island right across Jersey the Bayonne Bridge goes there from Jersey to Staten Island or I crab there's a lot of pilings and structure there any catch most everything there and that area it's strictly blue crab no spider crabs no sand crabs no horseshoe crabs just blue crab and occasionally you get Lobster in the Trap I just got lucky that day and yes during the thunderstorm in the rain I got more progress with the crabs
@@thandastones888 oh yeah the bait I was using was bunker and mackerel

Thanks for the video!
Hello!! BerksFishaMan! Hope you enjoyed the view in that part of Cape May😊
Hello. What bait is best for blue crab? Chicken legs? Thank you for the video. Great job crabbing.
Thank you! Thanks for watching😊. Ideally, you should use fish (bunkers) because these are natural food that crabs eat in their habitat. Chicken is an alternative. Bunkers are not as available as chicken, and chicken seem to last longer as bait. But both work pretty good for catching blue crabs🦀
Thank you for your reply. I may try mackerel here on Long Island. Watching your video I had to order 2 more traps so I have 3 total. I used to go crabbing years ago. Watching 1 video of yours I subscribed. I appreciate the peaceful content. Eager to see more of your content.
@@Rayofsunshine11 Thank you! Mackerel should be good. Good luck crabbing!!!🦀🦀🦀
Hi, im new to your video and was wondering @12:12, what liquid are you poring on the crabs to clean them? And Do you need a License to crab there? Thanks so much.
That was salt water from that bay. You have to wet them once in awhile to keep them alive. Never soak them in water, the crabs will die due to lack of oxygen. You do not need a license for recreational crabbing ( personal consumption) in New Jersey. Daily limit is 1 bushel. Good luck and thanks for watching😊!
@@thandastones888 Thanks a lot🙏😊✝️👍👍💪
