Wow thanks for this video, a comprehensive how to for Volvo D24. I had a 1980 240D (D24) from 1996 thru 2003
More d24 content!!
Yes more content on the d24 please!!!
Excellent video! Very informative, now i think i'll manage to time my pump correctly
Purely out of curiosity, how often does this need doing? Seems like a pretty mammoth task?
Did this in an hour with only one special tool and the clock, that is when you know how yo do it ofc
Nice! How long have you been working with the D24 platform?
Excellent video thanks!
I need to do this on my d24tic. My pump needs a re build. But don't have the funds again yet. 😅
Very nice detail. Has anyone replaced this 2.4L VW-Audi diesel with a 1.9L VW TDI BEW or ALH Golf/Jetta/Bora/Beetle engine?
Excellent video, and timing skills (as a camera man and mecanician! I have a question though, after connecting the rear cam sprocket, to find 0 , we have to wait for the needle to go reverse, If I understand correctly. But what is the margin of tolerance , when the needle goes reverse? One, two degrees?
Excellent video! Is this the same for my vw LT with the d24t DW engine?
If the injection pump is mounted in a similar position on the engine, I'd imagine so, but you might want to check out d24t.com for more info.
What is the size of the hole where you're screwing the dial indicator ? M8 ?
I believe it's an M8x1
I thought 82 240s use Kjet?
There were diesel models available in the USA up until the end of 1984.
solution was setting playback speed to 0.75
you are making things to complicated my man, to remove rear cam sprocket, simply put the car in the highest gear anduse a 19mm wrench
Thanks, I'll give that a try on my next belt adjustment.
