I love this amazing old hymn--Fanny J Crosby wrote so many special hymns---vividly descriptive--blind from 6 weeks old---amazing!!!! The Lord certainly used her to reach many for His purpose and draw them to Him.
I heard, learned & loved these hymns since I was a little child, now I'm 53 and say about them…... Ever loved ones! Blessing from Panama, central america!

We understand these hymns with time. We are lucky to have learned them when we were little children!
Modern gospel songs is less and less about the cross and the benefits of the redemptive work of Christ.

I love this hymn but this is a bad arrangement. The tempo is too fast and some of the harmonies are discards. That sets a poor mood.
