      If I paint my kit in lacquer, the tamiya accent panel line is definitely my choice, but in acrylic, I would use a way which easy to clean

      just try the dip pen today, and the result is excellent, I can panel lining the fuzzy detail kit without re-scribing the detail, the only downside I think is it may damage the paint surface when your pen is out of control

    Absolutely love the video. Two questions: 1, after putting stickers on can you spray it with a matte coat to make the stickers blend better/ not be so obvious? 2, is there something you can do about the pencil lead treatment so it stays on? Why not dry brush with a dark metallic paint?

    • @soyUsernameWasTaken
      @soyUsernameWasTaken 2 года назад

      I know it's old question and you probably have found your answers. But imma put this here just in case some people just read it and need to know the answers too:
      1. Yes. But gloss finish is better for blending transparent decal edges.
      2. Topcoat it. This also goes for dry weathering kits: you need to topcoat them to seal the colors/effects you've applied.

    I just bought myself a 3.0 Master Grade rx-78. Also I build a ton of HD kits, and your pencil lead on the file trick with cotton swab is having me curious. Do you spray it again after with a top coat, and is there any issues with the graphite, or whatever lead material you use? Because if you don't top code I picture that would rub off very easily

    So when you wash the individual assembled limbs and torso, head, etc. - after that in relation to drying the parts - do you have any issues with water getting trapped inside the armor or getting trapped anywhere inside the inner workings and compartments??

    • @plasticpeon
      @plasticpeon 6 лет назад

      thingsnexttome if that's one of your concern, it's probably best too clean the parts first, while they are still attach to the runner.

    • @thingsnexttome
      @thingsnexttome 6 лет назад

      nah, I have never understood why people wash the parts on the runners as the very first step - senseless - because then they just get all mucked about with sanding - buffing, scribing, and of course the natural hand oils that are constantly being generated which get tracked all over the pieces.
      Then, besides sanding, be it heavy or light or properly multi-staged there is the dust particles in the air that settle. All of this micro matter can and will cause issues with paint adhesion and can cause other sorts of problems too.
      So 'likeGunpla' is very much correct in the timing and technique of the wash. I was just thinking about the little nooks and what not. - now after completing the process using his techniques I've essentially learned that each kit will be different, and although I had no issues this time with the MG-RX-78-02 'The Origin' Ver. some kits may just need a panel or something temporarily removed so all the water can dry out.
      * Ah! Also, its very important to ALWAYS use rubber gloves After - the wash stage, as I believe he does some places in this video both to protect from finger prints and gunk from those pesky natural hand oils and other factors. storage is also key. freshly cleaned plastic containers to keep parts in while working on one or two pieces at a time. The cleaner the surface the better looking and working your paint or top coat will be.
      However, I greatly appreciate your feedback and so you have my thanks, despite my disagreement.

    • @simpleanswer8954
      @simpleanswer8954 6 лет назад

      People wash the parts on the runners to clean off mold release agents. They don't mix well with paints. It's easier to wash the entire part tree than it is to sit and scrub tiny individual pieces. After that it's real easy to avoid skin oil - wear gloves. Dust can be dealt with by using your air brush or a plain air can for cleaning electronics. You shouldn't be doing much of anything between cleaning and painting, and if you have to worry about dust between cleaning and painting, maybe you should consider some sort of CONTAINER to keep them dust free?
      All of those are things you fix yourself with a little bit of effort and planning.

    최근 구독하게 되어서 멋진 영상 잘 보고있습니다~그런데 한가지 궁금한 점이 있습니다만, 4:12초에서 여러개의 선이 겹쳐져 있는 부분에 먹선을 아주 깔끔하게 넣으시더라구요!저는 패널라인 액센트로 작업을 하니 저런 부분은 깔끔하게 작업이 되지 않던데..저런 부분에서는 흘려넣는 먹선이 좋지 않은건가요?

    • @likegunplablogspotkr

    중 2 프라모델을 좋아하는 학생입니다. 제가 hg자쿠를 전부 금색으로 스프레이로 도색할려고 했는데 옜날에 한 파란색? 건담을 그냥 스프레이로 뿌렸더니 시간이 지나니깐 밑색이 살짞 올라오더라구요 그럼 이번에는 서페이서,금색 스프레이,유광마감제를 뿌리면 번쩎번쩎한게 되는지 답변 좀 부탁드려요 이렇게 해도 돼는지 궁금해서요. 그리고 항상 영상 잘 보고 있습니다.

      +메이커건프라 블랙서페 + 골드 스프레이면 충분할 듯합니다
