The sounds of freedom right about 6:20... grew up in Tucson about 2 blocks from the airforce base that houses the majority of the countries A10s. That sound brought back so many memories.
It gives me chill bumps when they come over like that. I do love the sound, but it also makes me extremely nervous to fly my drone. This happens often.
I doubt they do right now, although remote identification is soon going to be required on all drones.. I sure don't want any close calls or them sucking my drone up. Highly unlikely, but I'd be the next person on the news if it happened.
Sat next to your doppelganger tonight at Tokyo hibachi grill in Pensacola. Couldn't get a picture without it looking creepy but he looked exactly like you.
Hi, Andrew! You are to be commended for your careful planning and hard work to become self sufficient. I enjoy watching you and Tiffany as you grow your homestead. See you Sunday at 7:00.
Man I just LOVE how clean your installs are! I have never, ever, not a single time, saw you skip a step or take a shortcut. Everything looks so good and love all the information you are putting out. You da man Andrew!!
Yes, Andrew. I totally agree I have AC130 and Osprey's fly just at tree top level. My trees are 100ft tall and sometimes they will rub their belly across my tree tops
As always well done. Two things, humidity is more of a killer of electronics than heat. I worked in a NOC for 5 years, yes we kept it at 60 degrees, but we were more worried about humidity. Also, I understand your frustration with the A10's, but man I love them... they could fly over my place once a day and I would be happy (I am sure that is short lived).
Boy those planes were really low, you could almost read the serial numbers on the tires! I noticed they kind of stayed over top of the trees, probably trying to avoid you spotting them but we could hear them coming! Have a great weekend!!!
If you could get a hold of couple 100 feet of 6" or even 4" pvc you have room to run underground for cooling that small of a room. Dig a trench out 5' to 6' deep and loop the pipe. New pipe would cost more than a a/c unit. It would be cheaper in long run. I hope I can do it when I build my new shop. Great video as always! Stay safe
Don't get me wrong, it's awesome. But at the same time it worries me because I fly a drone and record here. I'd be the one blamed in heartbeat should an incident occur.
Lol I don't go out of my way to hide that stuff. There's been videos in the past where I purposely staged things and almost every time people pick up on it 😉
I would have cut a large opening in the door and installed a high MERV HVAC filter. I have a 24 by 30 cut in my refrigeration room door. I would also vent your duct fan outside.
I was in an auto crash a few weeks ago, head on. Not able to have income loss right now... they were at fault. Keep me in prayer now and then please. Pat is my name.
If you want to cut down on screen flickering on the camera, make the shutter speed slower. So go from 1/200 down to 1/50 for example. That keeps the shutter open longer and the flickers blur together.
@@TKCL fps is the frame rate, slightly different than shutter speed, although changing the frame rate will affect the shutter speed, because they are inter-related. Shutter speed is the amount of time each of the 30 frames per second is exposed to light.
Hey guys. Great content. Could you do a breakdown of cost on what you spent on solar and savings. Also when you do the next panel section consider used panels 1l3 of cost. Just wondering if there any good. Keep up the great work thanks again for being real.
You almost need more stuff in that room to condition it…it’s so small you would be hard pressed to find an AC unit that would run long enough to pull out that FL humidity
Andrew, I took a look at the airspace around you. You have quite a few VR routes (military low levels routes) near you. I can send you a screenshot of the routes if you would like.
Literally 30 miles away it appears, are they allowed to venture that far off course? I was not informed of that deviation in my recent FAA training for my license.
If your address is correct on the channel VR1001 runs east and west about 2.5 miles north of capps highway. Well within the allowable airspace corridor.
That's VR1002 and the address I give is our local post office many miles away. That particular route is still many miles away. I was not aware of planes or jets being able to deviate so far.
@@TKCL I don’t believe we have any warthogs stationed at Tyndall currently. I know they do joint exercises with Moody as they use the Gulf as a training range. I love watching the F-22’s taking off and landing. The sound of freedom.
A-10s definitely from Moody, they’re not stationed at Tyndall. I don’t know exactly where you are in Fl but remember you saying something about being near Tallahassee. There are multiple VR, SR, and IR (Visual Route, Slow Route, Instrument Route) low level routes that crisscross all through that area. Even if you are not directly on the centerline of these routes the corridor is usually at least 5miles either side of centerline and it is the pilot’s discretion where in the corridor to fly. Also, if you’re not underlying one of the published routes I mentioned above there could also be a locally developed low level route that these guys are using that just happens to be running over your property. We had a couple of those developed for C-17 use when I was stationed in Charleston and also up in Seattle to aid in mission flow when some of the “real routes” were booked or just to far out of our way to make them feasible for the specific training of the day.
The direction they take from a Tyndall MOA in the Gulf to Moody appears to be accurate. There is no VR routes on the map showing that path or heading. It must be unlisted, something I didn't realize could not be posted on a map. All commercial drones are being required to have remote ID later this year, I am curious if planes and jets will be able to see it. The FAA claims it's for ground to drone identification in the event of an emergency and the drone needs to be identified.
With all the lithium battery fires lately, it's been said "not" to charge batteries in a living area nor indoors at all, I would suspect even all your battery powered devices also. Do you ever worry about lithium battery fires?
Exactly, they are far safer than I realized. It's the older lithium batteries with different chemical properties that was the ones catching fire and having runaway.
Another very interesting video. Andrew your sure good at figuring this stuff out, I am about half way there. I saw and heard that plane and yes that was very low. Are you near a airport? I would say that is quite unusual. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
You have to AC that room. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Lots of homes have solar battery installations and they are NOT AC. So long as the heat is negligible. there is no problem. Just leave the door open. Also don't go overboard on fire prevention. LIPO4 batteries are NON COMBUSTIBLE, not like lithium polimier batteries. So not a big issue.
