As you know James, I bought this light after seeing your initial video, and am very happy with it. I use dayflash one in daylight, that flash...flash... *boom!* really catches the eye! In darkness, on the unlit lanes round my way, I use the middle solid setting as it's well up to the job.
I haven't yet run it flat so can't comment on run times, but all in all, it's a very good light for the money I reckon.

Looks like a great light James. But for me the Garmin Varia is hands down the best rear light cyclists should run with.
I know cost is a factor, but the early warning radar is a god send. Just my opinion of course. 😉

Mr Brill, your opinion counts but as you say not everyone has the money and some don’t even run a compatible cycling computer. So budget wise this is a good light for the money. On another note it looks like we will be inundated with more budget choices of lights like the varia. I think I’ve seen a few different ones pop up from Euro Bike so there might be some budget choices coming soon enough. To be honest I’ve been on the look out for the Varia and video light on Market Place😁😉 Thanks for dropping by buddy😊👍

@@JamesSocialCycling yes I’ve seen some much cheaper radar lights recently. I’ve just upgraded my Varia to the RCT715, which has a camera as well. Even more money I know, but it’s been great for getting poor drivers punished for nearly killing me! 👌👍
Keep up the great cycling content.

Hey mate, did it take a really long time to charge the light? Cheers.

It takes some time but if you press the on button quick it shows a red light red(low charge) and green light(medium charge) or just green(fully charged) cheers hope that helps

Bubble buster here. Don't trust the unreliable USB charged lights. Easy enough to replace AAA batteries. Commonly run longer than USB and don't fail permanently. Replace batteries as they fail, so one of the front and one of the back lights will always work. Run them together so when the dead light goes unnoticed, at least one works. Any convenience store has these. Costs more to run, but unreliable USB type cost me 1 crash! Get two of whatever at least, front and rear.

Thanks for your comment David. I know what you’re saying and I have in the past been out done by some of the rechargeable lights. Nowadays I’ll test them in house first or like me mostly use them in the daytime so I won’t get too caught out. Whether I’ve been lucky or not, though both Halfords Bikehut lights 1600 and 500 which I currently run up front has given me hours of ride time on day flash and has a handy one push to check on charge. Same goes for my rear lights, always try to have a way to check if the it’s charged or not and the Lezyne does this and only reason I get 2/3 rides is using the day flash for better safety. I was pleasantly surprised to buy a 4.99 Oxford front light at the cycle show many years back and it still works today, I lost the mount so reason I don’t use it but do round the house when I have a power cut😁 and also have a Wiggle lifeline rear light in the shed which is so old but still runs well and it’s always on standby for when I’ve not charged my light. I’ve only had one front light that didn’t last 2 ride on a flash mode, Chinese and I didn’t review it as if only gives you 4 hours run time it’s not worth the money. Take care buddy😊👍
