Agree that ASC Award is more impressive than an Oscar; being validated by fellow nerds is the best. Oscars always feel like a popularity contest. BTW, Heroin(e) was so good, watched it before I ever knew who you were -- and will now watch King Coal, as the images I've seen from that are jaw-dropping.

I agree with you. I want to also add that awards are a means of trust-building and not medals of personal achievement.
Winning an award does build trust through the perceived boost of value in others' minds. Awards are tools to leverage future opportunities through trust.

Can you make a video on how you sold/distributed your film to netflix? I have so many questions...what did you do to get on Netflix radar? What all goes into a distribution deal with Netflix? All the deets? It feels like you just scratched the surface. :)
