Deadlier zombies.
Less loot.
Terrible morale.
Devastating injuries.
Everything Undead Labs is throwing at the zombified world to stop the most hardened of survivors from... well... surviving.
Yet Fox is not convinced.
No $$$ DLC.
Fox will complete this "Lethal Zone" with 1 paw behind his back.

Completely agree, great show indeed. Unfortunately your video was only half an hour or so and I wanted to watch more, so I just randomly selected another lethal zone video from another channel (to run in the background while I work)... after 10 mins I ended it. It was so damn boring, the guy talking was just so bland... Anyway, good job on your vid, looking forward to thr next one👍

@@czeszko865 This mostly refers to content that had to be purchased prior to the Juggernaut Edition which made them free. So things like the Pyro Launcher for example and the Red Talon stuff. The Zed Hunter DLC in imo is fair game because that was a free content update similar to the bounty broker packs, just predates bounty broker. I haven't found a reason to call in a trader for either, but if I get a Trader spawn with one I'll buy one. I'm on Day 9 currently, 6 survivors and got myself fairly stabilized where things are starting to coast into place.

I mean, a Survivor with "Swordplay" specialization and enough stamina can stand his ground against dozens of non-freaks if they can't completely surround him thanks to standing execution.
I literally had to use 2 energy drinks and 3 snacks to keep my stamina but my strong-but-always depressed Survivor single-handedly stood his ground and executed like 30 zombies when a Plague Heart hunt got interrupted by a XL horde passing by (thanks fences for preventing them from surrounding me otherwise I would've been dead 5 times over XD )

I got a lot of criticism about being boring and monotonous sounding originally, so I spent basically a year of actively trying to speak more dynamically. I also began to focus on playing and talking simultaneously which is a lot like trying to play a musical instrument and sing at the same time. It's harder than it seems.
You're capable of surprising improvements if you actively practice something.
It's also vitally important to consider criticism, even harsh or brutal criticism. It's actually part of the channel's meaning.
"Git Gud" is usually spoken as an insult. "You need to git gud!" But it's often also true even if the sentiment wasn't expressed very gently.
It's also part of the meaning of my catch phrase.
I don't have any background in editing, or speaking, or really anything besides playing video games... but you don't have to be good, to git gud.
You can become good at most things if you actively attempt to improve and don't quit from a lack of immediate results.
The gym and shooting range may be useful to have in the beginning. At least one of them. They bulk up ur survivors without standing.
Yeah, one shot from a weapon is equivalent to a zombait being throwed. Lol

It can be abused though, zombie kiting is a thing :)
I have been testing various weapons and found that even a .22 with a professional silencer (which I have always assumed produces the least noise of all silenced firearms) will get a zombie's attention from about 30 feet away...

they should only generate sound where they land and should at max be able to kill a bloater, but not zombies in general
throwing rocks to distract enemies is in many games that have stealth mechanics, ffs even in some shooters iirc!!
Having played lethal zone, I can say the mvp is a plagueologist. 1 plaque sample to cure partial infection, cheaper plaque cures, primary care for health and plaque resistance, a max level plagueologist has +100 plaque resistance.

I didn't get a blood Feral when I started. But one did follow me home later on. His mistake. I smashed the door in his face and executed him.

Fox, I have put in about 10 hours or whatever time it takes to get to Day 9. The starting area is generally unaffected by being prelooted, as you expand out you will notice the 70-80% prelooted locations.
Below will be spoilers, open if you want to know some things I have learned.
I am on the Cascade Hills map, my current community is my third attempt and seems to have stuck. My first two test runs were to get a feel for the mode which gave me some mixed luck. One time, a screamer spawned inside the starter house which I had to kill, and because it made noise a bloater paid a visit and the dumb AI decided to walk into the cloud. Not a fun start with someone with -50 stamina due to Burned Lungs. This extra spawning mechanic is something you will see more of, my favorite is jumping into a construction house; no zeds to a full house in an instant to NOPE I'm out!
Screamers spawn zeds, this is nothing new but they also spawn bloaters. It hasn't happened yet but it will happen at some point while driving past a screamer that you drive over a bloater spawn because of the scream.
Abusing the standing difficulty progression is a decent strategy but keep in mind, completing enclave missions give a large standing reward so this is a double edged sword. The longer you go without triggering trio horde packs the better. Though you probably will not see those for at least a few days of survival. You will still have to deal with ferals, you still can be plague infected while you are dodging with those guys... even while trying to driving over them... so be careful.
Resources are hard to come by, oddly enough, materials is a troublesome one. I recommend you focus on a tier 2 medbay so you can passively heal injuries. Workshop tier 2 is not as important imo, you finding two repair kits is proof why you can skip a workshop for a little bit.
Food outposts is my recommendation, if you build up your community the low food resource moral debuff will become a issue because we all know how annoying those social fights are. I had the joy of getting a temp survivor with +100% food consumption, had to keep them until I fully built my Comm building to get 4 outposts.
Plague hearts, ugh yeah, haven't tried too hard to kill them but they are a huge annoyance of almost non-stop spawning which will reset whenever you go to a new phase. 3 bloater bombs can destroy them, a strategy I saw posted by RvidD of using an energy drink to non-stop dodge, throw a flare then throw a bloater bomb whenever you can and once the heart is destroyed it is just a matter of running.
In my current play-through, I got super lucky by getting a Eagle Eye personal quest line, so I have a M99X1 Timberwolf. It is coming handy for killing juggernauts at base and killing hostile humans.
I forgot that quest rewards a .50 cal. I got one and ignored it. Was focused on more important stuff. But I'm gonna prioritize that mission next time...

@@asmircar1 The thought has crossed my mind, my household is not ideal for commentary. Dog will bark at people outside at random and on top of the fact my computer is in the shared space, so random interruptions from roommates can happen.
Well, when you make a bad move you can get punished, hard. I decided to run and fight out leftovers after a plague heart kill. Didn't go well as I wanted and decided to retreat back to an outpost on foot but about halfway to it a trio pack of feral + 1 feral for a total of 4 ferals ganked me. Character died due to blood plague, getting infected while dodging is lame. Moral of this story, just get in your damn vehicle and run away. RIP my starter (auto)mechanic, you will be missed but not really. I didn't like her hero perk, so this is a golden opportunity to roll the dice.

My final NZ legacy I'm doing a No Resource/DLC Challenge, was gonna stream it.
Was gonna do no garden, but the update with the blood freaks, I've decided I'll have a small medicine garden.
No resource outposts, with exception of beds, no builder boon or trade depot. Also no zed hunter gear.
I know it’s old but keep up the editing is makes is much for fun and entertaining to watch ( it was before but it makes it so much better ).
I try. Sometimes the episodes don't give me a lot to work with.

Ever since the update dropped I've been waiting for this upload
Was planning to bring my prepared fully equipped survivors for the first time in lethal zone. Changed my mind, and started fresh, only rolling for good traits. Survived 2 days for now. Had to go to the power station down the hill in providence ridge for the toolkit (you got so lucky, Fox). That was the most difficult thing so far. Plague samples weren't horrible.

Not sure if you mean learning how to edit from no experience at all or how to refine your existing skills.
If you don't know how to edit at all, then you'll have to watch some videos on how the software works. I use the Adobe family of software, and the beginner is the hardest part since the program seems very confusing at first.
If you're talking about refining existing editing skills, then you mainly want to try and copy what other RUclipsrs are doing. Try to see if you can replicate their techniques on their own. When you encounter a technique you're unsure of, you just make a RUclips search like "adobe premier pro how to make scene transitions" or "adobe after effects how to do screen shake" or "adobe photoshop how to make greyscale."
Your own style will emerge once you copy enough of other people's techniques. You start to learn why they work, and then you can use them your own way,

I think what they meant when they mentioned the pre looted buildings was specially for houses. In the patch notes it states 70-80% of HOMES were pre looted. So I think its just houses that suffer that extreme pre loot
Edit: Also I literally just started a new community on Providence Ridge. Literally spawned in, grabbed the stuff from the trunk and walked up the hill towards the firewatch fortress and had a feral waiting for me there. Not even a minute in and I was half dead.
Hopefully it is homes as homes usually have the least important loot.

@@GitGudFox I'm pretty sure it's all buildings, I loaded up a valley map on lethal and got a car to try to go to the near by military areas and all of them were pre looted, maybe just my bad luck :/

Yeah, I tried a little harder on this episode since it's the first one. It takes waaaay more effort to basically rewatch the whole episode and search for editing opportunities, but that's how you become a better creator.
You didn't misunderstand the loot thing...you got really lucky. Most buildings... ALMOST all around my base are blacked out. Guess it's a roll of the dice on what buildings are looted but I saw your map...you got a nice early game for lootable buildings being near the base
I think it's also because he started in providence which is suppose to be the beginner map so the difficulty might be slightly altered on this compared to the other maps

To get fighting xp early, I stealth behind, kick them and execute. Kicking makes them aware of you, so it becomes fighting xp, not wits xp.

I'm not sure, but it feels like the starting area has fewer pre-looted buildings and as you get further southeast in providence ridge, the buildings seem looted more often.
That's were the main town is I think so that makes it seem like many people started looting places during the outbreak

(I was saving up for moving into a larger base soo i had round 1k influence and red talon trader had rtx horde breaker, storm bringer and spec ops vector + rifle ammo press soo yeah i guess that increased my standing by a lot since before that juggs didnt spawn at all and ferals were rare but not anymore after that )
Standing gained is same as influence gained, just not for trading, all actions that reward influence also reward standing. Don't remember now how much influence you need to get for hero standing, but its a number like 200 or 300.
@@lorencaszelenskis351 Influence and Standing are similar but not the same thing. Influence is just a resource you can use to buy items from enclaves where as Standing is related to character leveling and the total gained standing across all characters will determine how the difficulty ramps up.
I might be maxed out in the standing difficulty, day 9 to day 10 currently, I get trio the packs of screamers, bloaters and ferals.
The juggernauts aren't the ones to be feared anymore. There to slow.
I want a part 2 damn it! Love your SoD2 content. Trust me, you will see a lot more zombies!

The bloaters break this entire difficulty, it's ridiculous, they spawn everywhere, and if you run over them, there isn't even time to exit the vehicle, and your survival will die in the cloud.
I believe it. They added the Plague bloaters to NZ. I hit one and got completely infected. But of course, NZ is nerfed compared to LZ...
Fox, bro you got so lucky with your loot! It took me almost 2 hours of game play before I got to my first toolkit! Less than 7 minutes in and you have 2!
