  • The Divine Image is a poem from Blake's 'Songs of Innocence', the first part of 'Songs of Innocence and of Experience'. The poet described this collection as "Showing the Two Contrary States of the Human Soul".
I've recited the poem in two voices, firstly my own version of British "received pronunciation", and secondly in my native northern voice. Blake himself was working class, a Cockney, so I feel any working class voice reciting his poetry would be authentic.
