      Tell me more about this candlelight dinner! Our honeymoon will be at the El Dorado in September 2022. Our travel agent was great, but didnt mention anything like that. Is that something I can set up through the front desk even though we didn't book the honeymoon suite? (Our wedding date is a few months before our trip, so sadly it's passed the time limit to be considered 'honeymoon' via most resort policies). Have a wonderful trip and congrats on your wedding!

      @@Zailen1 You can book the candlelight dinner when you arrive at the resort. It is open for anyone no matter what room you stay in. You can book it through your concierge the day you arrive or anytime after. There is an up-charge, but it is a really beautiful evening. They have little individual huts with tables overlooking the beach. The dinner is actually on the beach in the sand, so you want to wear sand appropriate shoes. If you watch my video entitled “Cancun Mexico Day 6,” I actually vlogged the experience including the menu options, our food, the view, and the live saxophone player that evening. Hope that helps & hope you have an awesome honeymoon next year!

    Hi, can you please let me know if you can lock your rooms from the inside. We didn't have a lock in our rooms at the fives and the service people just walked inside without knocking at the door and I really hated it.

    • @DanielleWarren
      @DanielleWarren  2 года назад +1

      Gosh, that’s awful!
      I can’t remember if there was a deadbolt on the inside of the door, but I know it had one of those locks that you can only lock from the inside and prevents the door from opening all the way. I cannot think of the name of that for some reason. lol! Hope that helps!

      @DanielleWarren  2 года назад +2

      By the way, I have several room tours on my channel that will show you what the back of the doors look like and what type of locks are on them. It’s brief but you will see several different angles of the doors & a tour of the swim-up casita suite and a regular casita room.

    We will be here at the end of January. Do we have to take a Covid test before coming into Mexico? I know we have to going back into the U.S.

      Hi Anna! Good question. There are no testing requirements for entering Mexico at this time - only to get back into the U.S. Hope you have a great vacation!

    Hi there! May i ask How’s the beach and the food in that resort? I’m still searching and confuse which all inclusive resort to go. Thanks!

    • @DanielleWarren
      @DanielleWarren  3 года назад

      I totally agree that it can be challenging to choose. There are so many beautiful places to stay in that area. There are pros and cons to staying El Dorado Royale. Of course, these are just my opinions, and someone else may feel very differently. I will just tell you what my general sense is about the resort.
      The beaches are not as beautiful as they are in some other places. The sand is great (very soft and not rocky), but there are giant boulders in the water that aren’t beautiful to look at. Also the seaweed or whatever it is that they rake up every morning can be a little smelly. That being said, I love sitting on the beach there just because of the privacy. The resort is so spread out that you can sit on the beach and feel like you’re all by yourself. I prefer that over super crowded beaches any day.
      I love going to a place where there’s a sea breeze and I can see the ocean and smell the ocean, but I don’t necessarily feel like I need to sit on the beach. I prefer pools. And El Dorado has 14 beautiful pools. I feel like I go here more for the pools, the resort, & the food than I do to sit on the beach.
      The food there is absolutely phenomenal. The cuisine is definitely gourmet, and there is so much variety of food offered that there’s really some thing for everybody.
      I like going somewhere that’s not super crowded and it feels like I have some privacy (even though there are a lot of people there, of course). 😉
      It’s also an adults-only resort, which is good to keep in mind.
      We loved it here, but I know there are lots of other great places to choose as well. I hope that’s helpful! Good luck on your search!

    Thank you for the video it was very helpful. Can you tell me where you went to schedule the restaurant reservations? In past all inclusive resorts we found it difficult to figure out how to do everything so went several days without reservations

    • @DanielleWarren
      @DanielleWarren  2 года назад +1

      Oh good! I’m so glad this was helpful! ❤️
      When we checked in, we did all of our check-in at the casitas lobby on day 1. If you are in the El Dorado section, you check-in at the main lobby.
      On the morning of day 2, I went to the concierge first thing in the morning to set up all of our reservations and plans. I set up our candlelight dinner that day as well. I like to get it all planned out, so I can relax the rest of the stay and know I have my plans figured out.
      Are you staying in the casitas section or the El Dorado section? Either way you will want to go to your concierge to book all of your meals. (Both times I’ve stayed in casitas, but everybody has a concierge next to their building/hotel section.)
      That would be my recommendation depending on what your check-in day is like. I usually need the first day to get settled in my room, get some good food, and chill a bit. Ha!
      I hope that helps!

      @@DanielleWarren Thank you for you quick response! We are not saying in the casitas unfortunately. We decided to go on the trip last minute and had to take on of the only rooms left lol. It will be nice to have a concierge next to us. Usually there is a huge line.
      Thanks again :)

    How’s the Wi-Fi at the resort?

    • @DanielleWarren
      @DanielleWarren  Год назад +1

      Sorry for the delayed response. The wifi was pretty good. We used it all over the resort on our phones. I had trouble using their app while we were there, so we didn't end up being able to use the app (which would be awesome to use if it would've worked for us). But the wifi was great.

      What did you not like, if you dont mind me asking? Debating btw hotels

    • @DanielleWarren
      @DanielleWarren  2 года назад +2

      Not sure if you are asking me or Gk, but the things that aren’t as great at El Dorado are 1.) the beaches (not really a pretty ocean/beach there). I love the food, the pools, the all-inclusive amenities, the resort overall, and the service, but not the beach there.
      2.) Unless you really state your disinterest, at some point they may try to get you to attend a timeshare presentation. They will gift you a spa package or something along those lines, but I don’t like losing a few hours of my vacation listening to a timeshare presentation. I have to be firm and just tell them I’m not interested in that.
      3.) We had trouble getting rooms with a couple we traveled with. Things seemed a bit unorganized at check-in, & I really had to fight (in a polite but firm way, of course) to get a room that shared the same pool with our friends. It worked out in the end. 😉
      Those are my thoughts. Not every place is for everyone, but I’ve been to El Dorado Casitas twice and had a very nice experience overall both times.
