i am thinking this will be my first spinning wheel! It reminds me a bit of a rocking horse for some reason :p I think it would be great to try the different tensions and see how it changes the yarns! I look forward to getting it sometime in the next few months!
Once you install one way, can you switch it? There were no videos or instruction for first time saxony wheel spinners (like me) and I did it the wrong way.
Yes you can! The Flatiron can be assembled to fit the side that is most natural to you. It would require taking it apart and re-assembling it. You can view the assembly guide here: schachtspindle.com/pdfs/FLATIRON%20ASSEMBLY.pdf We would also be happy to help if you have any further questions! E-mail us at info@schachtspindle.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you!
Great question! We generally do not suggest the Flatiron to new spinners. Instead, we highly recommend starting out with the Schacht Ladybug or the Schacht Sidekick! @@schachtspindle I really am looking to buy a wheel that I won’t out grow or one that can do it all so I don’t have to buy multiple wheels down the road. Do you think the ladybug will do that? The sidekick is out of my price range
@@merrickelsner5520 We think it's a great wheel to grow with as it can be customizable! You can add various whorls that fit your spinning speed. It can spin in single, double drive, and scotch tension and you can add the optional tensioned lazy kate too! It is a great wheel for all levels of spinners.

Do you still make the bulky kit for the flatiron
