To be fair, Joy just cracked under the pressure during the Black Jacket phase of the season.
She didn't just immediately give up after one messed up order of scallops during the first dinner service.
@@PhoenixOfArcadia yes I understand that, but to me, you’re on a higher pedistool making it to the black jacket point, let alone final 5. The longer you’re in the game for, the more that’s expected of you to know and also not to crack under something small. Something as simple as not communicating and Ramsey yelling he wants garnish first shouldn’t be acceptable to just up and quit in the final five compared to the first few episodes.

To be fair joy was constantly bossing around Nicole while joy herself sent out bad food. So it was understandable Nicole was getting frustrated
I understand frustrated but I don't think giving up is good
Nicole overall though lacked interest and she was meant to be helping Joy on that station anyway as they were both assigned there. You could see throughout her time though she didn't actually care at all about the service or whatever. She hardly ever wanted to put much effort in.
Plus Hell's Kitchen is supposed to be about finding a head chef, if Nicole can give up that easy she should not have been in the competition to begin with. Same for Joy who gave up on Black Jackets in front of Stan Lee at the VIP table as no head chef would or should crack under pressure or give up so quickly they push through it and bounce back.

They did that with me, I was very careful when I was on TV not to insult anybody or swear much. But they took the two or three slip-ups and edited them into their show, making me look real bad. Joy probably got the same for not being confrontational.

It used to be on RUclips but they took it down because it had too many views lol now you have to pay the channel who bought the rights, I think it's 4od or something like that.
It was cool for experience, but they make you look like an absolute idiot if you don't play along with them. I was offered a job at the end but refused it, so they wrote the end to look like I didn't win it lol. I didn't mind though because they actually fucked up and showed me replying to the letter of offer with my no thanks!
So even though the narrator showed the boss saying "Brooke we do not have a job for you here" and me looking indignant ... that was edit, the reality was I was the first one they offered it to but I immediately said there was no way and I had a job to go back to.

I think Scott was awesome, but Jason was the best chef on the blue team all season long and is definitely more talented than Scott is. I can’t really complain that much tho. Scott earned it. Jason was one of my favorite contestants of this season along with Scott and Rochelle.
the fact that Gordon chased after Joy all the way back to her room really shows how he didn't want her to quit. I think she could have turned around halfway through that hallway and he would have let her back in, but she didn't.

If you end up in Hell's Kitchen and think scallops only need to be seared on one side, you don't deserve to be in Hell's Kitchen. Period.

Rochelle will always be my favorite Hell’s Kitchen competitor. I absolutely adore her.
I honestly feel bad for Joy, it was honestly just a “heat of the moment” type of moment and she obviously regretted what she did. She was just getting frustrated and because of that it cost her from winning even though she was so freaking close and honestly had a really high chance of winning.
It really is such a shame. I hope she’s doing well now!

Part of me thinks Joy either has a fear of succeeding or failing, a lot of it has to do with what she said after she walked out, that the closer she got to possibly winning the more she started to doubt herself, almost like she for whatever reason felt she didn't deserve it. It really is a shame.
i don't feel bad for joy at all. she nominated rochelle for elimination for no good reason. so when she left, i'd say good riddance
@@krisvalderrama9043 She nominated Rochelle because neither her nor Keisha would nominate each other. The two of them became great friends during the competition and confided in each other. We even saw Keisha start crying out of fear during their last few Red jacket services since because the roster is getting smaller and smaller, she was concerned she would be the next to go. While she didn't get eliminated during that Red jacket service, she was eliminated after the first Black jacket service.
And once Keisha was eliminated, it was only a matter of time for Joy since her presence was very much a calming influence for Joy. Which is how she quit; without Keisha the stress of the competition and Black jacket services were too much for her to handle so she snapped.
Stan was having the time of his life looking at these guys fight 😂

I watched this live on tv having to wait a week to find out what happened with Joy. That was absolutely jaw dropping to first see it. I would bet 1,000 cases of Mountain Dew that joy was gonna win that shit. But she beat herself. After that episode, Chef Ramsay invited the remaining black jackets family members there and I can’t help but imagine Joy seeing her family would have been the push she needed to keep fighting and win that season.

Actually, the biggest compliment is for Gordon not to say anything and continues eating. Words are not needed if a dish is delicious.
Joy would've been a fantastic competitor against Scott. She might've even won. A strong hardworking chef against a talented creative chef. Would've been a great battle, but we'll never know. I like Scott though. It's rare to find that kind of creativity.
