This is doable on the passenger side, I just did mine. Go in from the side panel and snake your hand in above the metal dash bar. I have huge hands and made it work so anyone with small or medium hands will have no problem.
Just cut off some of that plastic where your hand goes in to get that gromet. all you need to do is remove the side piece ,cut out some of the plastic so your hand goes in and grab the gromet, drill it out and put it back in. Im not a mechanic but did it fairly easy.

I did the same It only took 30min. Once the side panel is replaced, you can’t tell.

What size of the new hose and how did you attach it to the old one???
Simpler : take hose and route it out the front passenger window
Is there one on the otherside as well? How many drain tubes are there on the h3 total? Great fix btw!
The other side is easy to reach.
Could be 4 drains- not sure.
