Hi! Just to throw a few more examples into the mix, if I may, of course. Not in any particular order, so here we go. His pickup truck was a total write-off after the accident, so he thought he'd sell it for scrap instead of having to fork up for its repairs. I'm gonna have to replace some of the furniture I've had since I was a student. I don't think I'll be able to come up with the cash just yet, so it'll have to wait for now. Don't creep up on me like that-you frightened/scared the life/sh** OR I was scared sh**less (excuse my French, please). He tends to get annoyed at the slightest whiff of provocation, so bear that in mind whenever you come in(to) contact with him (or deal with him/talk to him). It's no skin of my nose if you decide to get your lip etc. pierced/get a face tattoo etc-it's sth you might regret someday, though. Bad call, if you ask me. When their captain got sent off ten minutes into the game, the rest of the team had to pick up the slack and ended up grinding out a draw. When my mother, bless her, was in hospital, I had to pick up the slack around the house, doing the chores etc. I felt like a fish out of water when I first arrived in downtown Timbuktu. (not sure it's a thing) I didn't speak any of the local languages nor did anyone speak English. The more time went on, however, the more the place was beginning to kind of grow up on me. I used to be extremely sensitive to any sort of criticism fair or otherwise. I've grown a thick skin over the years, though, and whatever anyone says anything about me now, I just let it wash over me-it's water off a duck's back, as it were. He's always taking her comments too seriously-they are meant to be tongue in cheek. He needs a sense of humour bypass, I reckon. Thank you for your work. Much appreciated.
