My dad had a ‘73 Olympique and a Rupp Rally back in the day. I prefer riding the old ones like a bunch of goons to riding modern sleds myself. Keep the vintage sleds alive, boys!
Jeez this brings me back to my youth... As a kid my brothers and I would launch those things till the mufflers came flying off and melted into the snow lol good times
Man some of the most fun sledding I had on my 62’ elan as a kid 👌🏻 had to carry a little bottle of gas to squirt in the carb when you wanted to start her, but could bang on it all day long like that lol
the snow you've got their reminds me of what we get here in ND. sadly, this year has been rather un-snowy. But I look forward to taking out my '71 ski whiz and '69 ski daddler again soon. great riding.
Can't beat an old full track snowmobile. I still miss my 1969 Olympic with a 290cc engine. Nothing could stop it, and I went over the handlebars more than once. 😁
So love this one. You guys with the ski-doos know how to send it. My mission is to find an old e’lan. This is the action I dream of. This seems accessible.👍
I feel like the singles always ran for me, our old twins always gave us trouble. I had an d Polaris Gemini 250, the most reliable and slow sled I’ve ever owned, lots of fun though!
Just picked up a 70 and 72 ski doo olympique...cant wait to get into this kind of shenanigans with em this winter!! Both are one bangers but i got a twin on stand by if need be.
I got a 1980 moto-ski mirage special 377, thing don’t run anymore but when it did it worked mint. I actually hit 60mph on that thing one time, thing was really fun to mess around with
Looks like a blast I wish my friends would get off there asses and come out with me I was out on my ss440 yesterday almost no snow here but better than nothing
Awesome video, and great soundtrack! I have a 72 olympic 399, just posted a video today too, but mine's pretty lame compared to what you guys are doing. Keep those old machines running! 👍
It's almost like you don't need a $14, 000 machine to have fun on the trails. Given that most of the chassis are aluminum for the mountain sleds, there's really no reason to own a new one... unless you just have to have the best and newest. Keeping up with the Joneses will get ya in the pocket book.
thank you so much for the memories guys...fuckin awesome shit man... i used to run all around the ottawa river..nepean sailing club..andrew hayden park... fuck yea brotha 3:57 that was mine befor i got an old silver bullet ... awesome guys thanks
Not a common brand to come across! My Boa's engine has been replaced with a 300 Kohler and the tunnel needs some de-rusting badly but she moves along well!
It was all yellow on the cowbell first one came out, I'd love to find another please if you hear of good one let me know couple yours same style as mine but you have black on your cowellthanks Mare
Where is this. I know we got a old school sledders association around here in the Kawartha Lakes area but that's all i know. They have a party and destroy newer sleds for the fanally. Like dosing them in gas and sending them full speed across a large field into hills woods walls etc. Please sign me up
Anybody got a elan??when I was a kid I had one and use to have to blaze trails fer the big ones cause all they'd do is sink!! Haha it would go anywhere and some of the places on my MTV were pretty hairy!!
Its a mix of parts, had no exhaust forever, blew the motor mount at least once, huge hole in the tunnel back. I think its just a 72 olympic with a tnt hood, single 250 rotax. We call it the hammer mill
@@castironmachines Goes good for a 250. I figured you clutched it or geared it or something. I had an old Motoski Ms-18 with a JLO 297...what a weapon that was
@@txryder79 My mistake its an olympic chassis with a 335. Wah you don't hear JLO very often, my first sled was a mototski too, F440 BSE. Would've been lost if it didnt come with a spare engine for parts
Dad bought a 72 , 292 TNT when I was a kid . Traded in a snot green 68 ,18 hp Eskimo. Drove them both like this most of the time . Eskimo was allot slower, but would turn on a dime. Some buddies didn't like following me , they said I was to crazy. Dad said if I broke it I paid for parts, And I did .Had blast.

Sweet playground for the old single jugs👍👍
Awesome to see what those old girls are capable of taking 😀

no snow? no problem!! still gonna send it!! 👊🏽😝
@@rev_80m13 haha! Maybe you will! I have great respect for my vintage sleds (until the snow comes. Then I mercilessly beat the tar out of them.)
The snowmobile song is key in any vintage sled video!
You guys are smashing! Love to see the old sleds be beat and not babied.

Ya dont need a new $14,000 snowmachine, you can have as much or more fun with these old single lung dandies!
The 72' t-n-t was a twin. I had a 340. A fun sled.
@@bz3248 The 72 TNT was optioned as a 292 single, 340 twin, 400 twin, 440 twin, 640 twin, or 775 twin. This one was the 292 single
Amen brother
@@chrisheffernan6600 I had a ski doo single cylinder 340 cc. I actually think it was the best trail breaker ever.

Bigger “sends” then most people on modern sleds
vintage rotax.
Love ❤️
Just look at that suspension. His name is Ed.
Is that a '72 T,NT it jumps pretty good.
71 or 72 Olympic with a TNT hood, 335cc single with a world of compression

Gimme an old bogie track anyway.
What snowmobile is that and what year
Which one? The main three in the video are a 1970 Olympic, 1975 Elan, 1972 Olympic with tnt hood
What kind of sled is buddy with the orange hat riding? Just a free bird on that thing 🤘🏾
71 Olypique with a 335 straight piped, TNT hood to look nice. Absolute boat
Lmao! Where you guys at in Ontario?
Up around Ottawa
