Had a hard time choosing one tbh, but the song writing in Reckoning Night is the best to me. So much variety in the songs it's not boring listening to it all! Thanks!
Awesome as always! My favourite SA album is Ecliptica, because they got it so damned right. Not a single weak song and it transmits so much energy. For me it is pure, distilled Power Metal. One of my favourite albums ever, and IMO quite possibly the best of its decade. In fact, Ecliptica set the bar so high that Silence looks weak by its side (even if it´s an album many bands can only dream about). Then there came Winterheart´s Guild, which is better than Ecliptica but it doesn´t feel as having caught lightning in a jar. And then there´s Reckoning Night which is also incredible. Much more variety there, ultra competent songwriting, the combo Wildfire - White Pearl, Black Oceans could be an album of the year by itself... Then why Ecliptica if it´s not that good? Sometimes music cannot be measured.
Yes agree with a lot of what you said! I think Ecliptica has a kind of rawness to it that the other albums don't have which makes it unique. So many good songs and pure Power Metal!
Pretty nice! Would love to see you do a Ecliptica-medley, since this is my favourite album (I discovered them back then when they just released it and instantly fell in love). Looking forward to see them live in 8 days with Stratovarius and the incredible Induction :3
@@ArnoVlmt Enjoy them and if you didn't get into Induction, yet, give their "born from fire" album a go. Definitely one of the best Power Metal releases of the last few years!
I thought you sang better than Tony kakko when you performed his songs. then I'll be completely honest with you. never stop singing. You are professional. Greetings from Norway

Also my favourite album of theirs, and you made a fantastic rendition of it. I come back to it every now and then. And I agree, not only does it have White Pearl Black Oceans on it, which together with Don't Say a Word, which are their 2 best songs ever in my opinion. Third would be Last Drop Falls. It's hard to believe soon the album will be 20 years old:O
I agree that Reckoning Night is my most favorite Sonata album and the first Sonata album I ever listened to. Ecliptica is still awesome, but I feel Reckoning Night has something majestic about it. Most favorites are Misplaced, Ain't Your Fairytale, My Selene, White Pearl Black Oceans. Hopefully you do this medley video of other Power Metal and other metal bands you're into.
Hey as always amazing work. Sonata is my fav band of all time and I live them so much. My fav album will always be Unia, but pretty much all of them are great. I'm excited for the new album....
Unia was such a unique one to me too! Perfect balance between old and new Sonata for me with very interesting melodies. Can't wait for the new album, loved the first single!
Thanks for this nostalgic trip. ♥ Personally I prefer Ecliptica, but Reckoning Night I a masterpiece too. I miss the old Sonata Arctica. What is your opinion on First in Line?
Yes Ecliptica is so good too! Destruction Preventer being my favorite track from the album. I found First in Line to be a promising song for the rest of the album. Not mind-blowing but a good opener 👍 Loved how you can hear the "old" style coming back!
Love this medley. I would go definetly with The ninth hour. Nah just kidding I choose silence. Sonata Arctica has always been one of my favorite power metal bands (after Kamelot of course😌).
@@ArnoVlmt haha. I mean I quite enjoy the progressive elements in the ninth hour. Even though I prefer the old power albums. What do you think of Kamelot, is there any chance it will get a video? Greetings from Germany ❤️
@@ericcartman6580 I already included Kamelot here and there in medley videos, will probably again yes! I enjoy the band but I need to listen much more!
Cool Video. 🎉 What do you think of Silence? I remember listen to Tallulah in 2012 for the first time, when my 10 year older brother showed me this song when I was 16 after my first relationship in school went down 😂
Haha sad songs for sad times 😄 I enjoy Silence a lot. I think it's the one with the catchiest chorus of all albums. So many classics + a great instrumental track! Flawless!
What's YOUR favorite Sonata Arctica album?
Are you excited for the upcoming release?
Agreed, deffo the best album! This medley was super nostalgic, so many sick songs!

next shorts: listening to SA until I want to cry (or turn into furry)

Great choices my guy! Love me some power metal
Thanks bud! Always a pleasure doing some Sonata!
Absolutely amazing and powerful, Sonata will forever be my favorite band and Reckoning Night it is just such a masterpiece
Thank you!!! One of my favorite band too for sure!
Can't wait to see them live next week!

Will probably do a Ecliptica medley at some point yes! It's second on the list!

Yes I agree with you ! The maturity on Reckoning Night is the best !
Thanks for commenting, cheers from France

Yes I'd love to do more of those! Always a pleasure to do them!!
I agree with you, something is special with Reckoning Night!
It's gotta be Silence for me, I love them all (mostly) though so it's a tough choice!

Yep!! And I really think the next one is going to surprise us all (well I really hope so probably 😂)
@@ArnoVlmt I wish it very bad too!
Yes White Pearl, Black Oceans is not only the best song from Sonata Arctica, but the best piece of music ever created (ofcourse in my opinion)
Don't know how many times I listened to that song. I can only agree with you such a perfect song

Same I have high hopes, but I don't want to hope too much just in case 😆. But still, a new Sonata album is always good news!
