The media is really playing this thing up. Remember that hurricanes/tropical cyclones always end up being downgraded to a tropical storm by the time it reaches SoCal. The ocean here is to cold. Always be prepared for any type of event but don’t let the media freak you out
It means be prepared for excessive high wind heavy rainfall power outage etc. Secure, store or move outdoor items that may be blown over or away such as tables, chairs, umbrellas..... have a go bag including pet provisions ready if you're in a flood, landslide or mudslide area.... have pre cooked food you can eat cold. Have drinking & wash water ready.

One of the best/worst things about this storm is that it's going to wash a lot of the FILTH from the streets of Southern California out into the ocean. So much sewage from all the homeless encampments will turn the entire Eastern Pacific Coast into a gigantic biohazard zone. Imagine being so addicted to surfing that you'd repeatedly immerse yourself in that sewage soup. YUK!!! And, I'm thinking that for a brief time, the Colorado River will once again flow into the sea.

Ca has very little to do with the flow of the Colorado. Plus it’s been diverted so much in SoCal that where it enters Mexico is a marshland
