Chris, I remember that your gripe with the original WorkSharp system was that on the blade sharpener the fixed angle guides would flex and move a bit too much, therefore making it a bit difficult to maintain that specific desired angle👍
with the right training and proper understanding of this machine any person can sharpen any blades from small knives to medium swords thanks to its blades grinder attachments
Thanks for the info Chris! In case Work Sharp reads these comments. I've learned more from this video than any of the information available on the website. It's hard to believe how vague the information is on any given product. Most notable is the specific use of abrasive belts. Why would I purchase the ceramic over the stiff or the cloth belt? I get it, your belts are not just sandpaper. You have to tell me more than what is on the website if you want me to purchase your product.
I've had the full set up for two years now, and I love it. Makes knife sharpening so easy. And with the belt grinder attachment, axes are a piece of cake to sharpen. I've also used the belt grinder attachment on wood, also works great. Had to order some new belts to finish sharpening a new axe. I hope you come to like your Ken Onion Work Sharp ;)
It's crazy how efficient that thing is. I've been hand sharpening for years on stones and guided systems. Life is getting to busy I got no time boys .I know what I want for fathers day.
The new grinder seems to have the rollers supported on both sides so they should flex less if that was a problem on the original. I guess only time will tell if that makes it more durable.
Some how I was unsubscribed from your channel at some point. Apparently RUclips didn’t want me watching your channel. 😂 I’m back. Now to catch up on all of your videos I’ve missed. 🤦🏻♂️ They can’t hold us Ohio guys back. 👊🏻😎
Knife’s speed three is the highest they also say 5 passes on each side using 4 grits but hey I took the time to read the instructions it also tells you do not bring the tip past half way on the paper and to turn it off
Need to get the grinder attachment for mine. Turns it into a much more useful machine. The guides limit the size and shape of blades you can work with. I wonder if the new grinder attachment will fit the older Ken Onion machine?
@preparedmind101 Did WorkSharp at least provide you with their newly upgraded sharpening system to you free at no cost because you were going to review it?

Love mine for sure . Still the old on though.
Doing the video as first use is the best way because it will be everyone's experience.
Hope your health is holding up and you're feeling better

Need to use the Tracking knob to center up the belts when they are running. That'll avoid having the edge of the belt dig into the plastic shield.

Hello Chris, fun stuff for sure... Be safe and take care, "God Bless", sincerely, Randy. 😇🙏👊

The original cartridge gripe was the guides flexed a little bit when you ran a blade through it.

Now that you have two, you could set up like some do, and have one as a polisher. Saves some changes.

When is the 230 volt version going to be produced so that people outside of the USA can have one?
Excellent video.
Thanks Chris !! Getting one ! ❤
YeH I’m most likely going to grab one also. Dig it.
I wonder how many pocket knives have met their end through this device
Hopefully, this Perpared Minds 101 video review of this newly upgraded WorkSharp sharpening system is a paid sponsorship🙏
I wish!
@preparedmind101 I'm really sorry to hear that😞
@@ThomasConnolly It's not like I paid for it, so that's good enough for me.

I dont think i like belts moving into the gaurd and chewing it up, that could be problematic over time.
I agree
Seems like more trouble than it's worth. 🤷♂
I like the upgrades...to bad you have to abandon everything about the previous version and start all over again...
