From my wikipedia research lol: the cameramen only captured the moments before and immediately after the assassination. Fox Movietone added the 3 shot sounds to make it appear they captured the shooting. The gun shown was not the assassin's weapon, his gun had a 20-round magazine and he ended up firing over 10 shots. 15 people were wounded or killed. He WAS sabered and trampled, but died later in police custody. And it was actually french police who killed the French Foreign Minister sitting next to Alexander, accidentally (revealed in a ballistics report released 1974).

Name of the killer is Vlado Chernozemski- Bulgarian from region of Macedonia. (Then there was not Macedonian nation - all people in Macedonia considered themselves as Bulgarians) . Assassination was retaliation that Bulgarian populated Macedonia was given to Yugoslavia after the First World War and population was genocided there under the rule of King Aleksander. NOBODY helped them. This genocide continue until now days and civilized countries seems not to care. After 1945 all Bulgarians in Macedonia were named Macedonians to keep Yugoslavia intact and Macedonia not to be part of Bulgaria. Even today if you say that you are Bulgarian in Macedonia you can lose your job or can get beaten up by secret "post" Yugoslavian services!

If you look then the actual moment is missing from footage. At one moment you have nobody getting assassinated and the next frame point of view has shifted over and the guy is already getting a cavalry sabre right in the face, the cameraman must have stopped cranking at the crucial moment or maybe reached the end of reel. The audio track is of course entirely artificial, the shots you hear are post production along with the commentary. You can look at 0:45 at the other cameramen shooting the scene and see how the cameras were operated at the time.
