I think she's acknowledged for her acting. That's why she's been put in many good lead roles since she costarred in Wolf. Usually the beautiful actresses who are pushed as sex symbols since their big debuts (Jessica Alba, Megan Fox, Scarlett Jo, Jessica Biel, Amber Heard, etc, etc.) all disappear after a little while and they usually only stay in supporting roles as the hot chick in every film. After their moment is up if they don't have the acting chops to accompany their looks. I would say Margot is one of the Angelina Jolie & Charlize Theron types who can prove a woman actress can be both hot & talented, & so they have longevity as a result.

@@devirachman5442 He probably meant ppl generally don't expect her acting to be good and serious. They take her for just a pretty face or model who basically got to act. I watched I, Tonya not too long ago and it confirmed her acting skills. Kinda like in the music industry when there are actually quality talents like Beyoncé or a young Mariah Carey who can actually belt out vocals and songwrite (Mariah). Ppl don't expect actual raw talent from pretty faces *--* especially women.
