Sam, this is deeply personal, but you were a very big part my accepting Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. I heard this and fell to my knees in worship. I have not been the same since for I have been truly changed. You had a hand in my Saving... Just thought you should know.

Thank you Sam for sharing the beautiful instrument God has anointed you with. I was raised by a father with a beautiful tenor voice. He formed an acapella quartet with my two older brothers and myself when I was about 10 years old. The Lord blessed us with the ability to harmonize, without written music just like He obviously did for you. What a Joy to be able to sing harmony acapella! It is such an awesome way to communicate with our Lord and Savior and feel His presence!! I have since lost my awesome father and one brother, but look forward to joining them once again in songs of praise in that beautiful place God is preparing for us. Keep up the beautiful music Sam, you are a blessing to all who have the opportunity to hear your songs of worship!! :)

I found this video 3 yrs ago while I was laid up in Georgetown Hospital when I got diagnosed with cancer. it was around 2am and I couldn't sleep. I dunno what angels sound like but I bet you're the closest thing we have to them here on earth. No matter how many times I hear it the calm it brings to my soul is unreal. May you continue to be blessed.

Sam, I played this for 19 high and middle school students at our home Bible study this past week. Totally captured. That sat silent for several seconds then burst into applause (to a video). Then we were ready for the Word. Thanks for offering your voice(s) and your heart.
With paths of tears still fresh on my face from listening to this hymn arrangement, I thank you for expanding my heart for my Savior. With your voice and those lyrics I was ushered in my spirit into a feeling of the very Throne of Heaven. I know I need him, now I've felt that I need him.

Much of today's religion and even spirituality has nothing to do with God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and His Holy Spirit, who together made you; and love you; and want to have a RELATIONSHIP with you and me, and all men.
That all your Creator wants:
18 "And [I] will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty" (2 Corinthians 6:18,17).
A relationship that He has already made available to you by faith in Jesus Christ who died and was buried for you to forgive all your sins. Then rose to life again to give us everlasting and an abundant LIFE.
This relationship is based in personal faith toward God and living a life that pleases Him. Nothing religious about that. Just taking a new and empowering journey through this life (and the one to come) with all God's help available to make you overcome life's troubles along the way with comfort, hope, joy, and a future!

I love this song, and as a person that grew up in a church with a grandma that sang in a pentecostal group in the 50s, I used to send all of your psalms to her. She passed about 2 years ago. I listened to this song on my way to her hospice home after finding out she had passed. Everytime I hear this song, it reminds me of her, and your commanding performance reminds me of her strength. Thank you Sam. Thank you for being you and being a strong voice.

As one who has done much acapella singing, I am in awe of your pitch, rhythm, arranging, and of course your stunning voice! God gave you an amazing gift and how cool to see you using it to honor Him! His willingness to experiment with traditional, musical norms (to say nothing of his willingness to be inspired by God...) have paid off " seventy times seven ". There is a mathematical precision to these harmonies, but it beggars Chinese arithmetic and looks crazy in written form. I think he uses the head-phones to cancel-out dissonant harmonies that he doesn't want to hear during each of several 'takes'. AMAZING...

I would say Sam's click track is his heart, filled with love from our Lord Jesus.
He recorded each set of audio separately, and played all of them back to himself as he sang each part, making it easier for himself to follow the rhythm. As for lining up the video, he rolled the camera at the same time in the software (Audition/Premiere/ProTools/Final Cut).

I had a massive heart attack 8 months ago and had to have triple bypass surgery. The air tube they ran down my throat destroyed my vocal cords. I had 4 years of classical voice training. My falsetto voice is completely gone, but I still try to sing. I've posted a couple of videos here on youtube. You are an amazing vocalist,, NEVER take it for granted, because it can be gone in a flash. God bless!!
