I am pleased and thankful it worked out for her and her relationship with her husband. But here's the thing: had she done all the things she speaks of, and found her centeredness and was open and vulnerable with her spouse, he still might not have been in a place to grow and heal and open up--he may well have been unhappy in the relationship for whatever personal reasons--he may even have left and ended the marriage. It is important we don't judge ourselves for what we perceive as failures when relationships end--especially of one-sided endings. My point is it is important to know we cannot control others, and no practice can assure the outcome we wish for. There is no formula for that. Only acceptance of whatever happens.
