Up to 1:24 it makes me think of a man planning to go out West the the Frontier to find gold, and trying to convince others to go with him. From 1:24 to 2:08 makes me think of the Great Depression. And how the poor are accusing the rich, running around trying to find jobs. And by "pocket full of yellow, yellow. Pocket full gold" It could be hope or the excess grain of the farms. From 2:08 on, it makes me think of a man on a boat going to the New World to escape England.
And how he feel he doesn't owe the king anything, so the Revolution starts. And the "gold" in his pocket is really lead, like musket balls, and saying that you should never settle for anything else but freedom. But then again, I'm a history nut and am probably over thinking it.....
So basically the singer is someone who has a very negative outlook on life, and is cynical. With the quote "hope you find your dreams" is said in the context of the singer mocking someone. More evidence: "Hiding in your money", talking about rich people hiding behind their wealth to avoid their problems. Another: "Pocket full of gold" goes along with the last piece of evidence, just basically meaning they have a lot of money. More: "What did you say back to me?" is the singer talking to someone who is trying to talk up to them, so the singer(who has an ego) is offended. That probably isn't all of it, but just what I could think of.
