Namaskar and thankyou for your Memorial video...well done. But to reflect. You suggest Sati Chaura massacre was an accidental call, likely by Tantia Topi or Jawalla Pershad, a mistake? So, was Nana Sahibs decision to break an oath sworn on Mother Ganga to protect the Britishers at Wheelers entrenchment a mistake also? Was the slaughter of the all the males at Sati Chaura a mistake after they surrendered? Was the slaughter of the Futteghur refugees in 2 waves on the Cawnpore parade grounds a mistake? Was the slaughter of the men brought back to Savada Kothi from the single boat that escaped Sati Chaura a mistake? And finally, was the Bibighar slaughter of 73 women and 124 children also a mistake, considering the appalling state they were in after 6 weeks of absolute horror including watching these executions? 27 of the Bibighar victims died during the 13 days incarceration from heat stroke, dysentry, sabre and bullet wounds and shear break-down of spirit. Anyone would suggest that none of these were mistakes, but rather carefully calculated moves in the spirit of revenge against the HEIC, vented for the most part on the 1,300 or so civilians who perished in Cawnpore, out of pure spite

It was decision of a Muslim women. Who want to take revenge from britishers. Her husband was killed by British soldiers. She called her lover , a butcher and ordered him to cut all women and children in bibighar.

This man presents a scenario for events that is not true and refuted by historical documents. It is not the bias that is appaling ( as it is) but the lack of truth!

Secondly and with all due respect Sir, you say that the goodly People of Cawnpore had plenty of reasons for turning on the British, whom were largely their Military employers. But then without offering one single reason, you switch gears by saying that Baji Rao II's adopted son - Nana Sahib - Sureek Dhondu Pant, was denied hereditary rights of adoption, including a Government stipend of 80K pounds per year and so that was a sole and legitimate ground for the multiple genocides of near on 1,300 innocent people, my family included and documented among that number. And so a simple question, "what were the many grounds that the good people of Cawnpore had, for engaging in this wholesale butchery and abuse against civilians and anglo Indians?" Fact is, individually they had no real grounds at all, and many were indeed reluctant players in what happened next. When an Oath is sworn upon Ganga Ma and 'broken' without merit and for purely selfish reasons, indeed with murderous intent against helpless people, then a curse naturally falls upon the head of the one falsely swearing, is that not so Sir? All sworn Oath's have consequence. Herein, Nana Sahib after his murderous rampage, was revered as the Mahratta Peshwar of Oudh by one and all, via multiple gun salutes and celebrations that followed the destruction of the British, including our women and children of Bibighar, and so by default and by trickery, they, one and all had brought that miserable fate upon their own heads, indeed upon the whole populous of Cawnpore including young and old...right on down to this very day. This Sir is the hereditary ' BLOOD STAIN ' passed from generation to generation, that cannot be written out by time, nor blotted out by some ransom paid, as through some financial gift. Such is a most miserable situation is it not? whereby one mans 'Legacy owns an entire city..' And yet, there are perhaps spiritual ways to make amends, to help in righting this grievous wrong...but that Sir, is for the good people of Kanpur to search through, each one his or her own heart...Namaskar🙏
