new spell was tawpdecked tho next turn , in the magna turn he didnt no his opp had it 🤔
@@Squiddys but they also plan ahead in a simplified gamestate. He knows it excists already playtested it. Aaaand linkuriboh here got banned for that reason. If a third lo could dodge the negate it was over
BO1 is one of those ideas some idiot comes up with at 4am and somehow konami ran with it. RIP 8000 players playing half a yugioh tournament.

I'm suprised with the kind of prizing they have especially in Japan. They seem "nicer" to OCG in terms of the game being more affordable there, of course Maxx C being legal and best of 1 kind of counters that. The company can seem very greedy at times, especially with the banning of Baronne & Savage after cheaper reprints were available through the Rarity Collection, although I sorta agree with the hits for the health of the game.
Best of 1 mostly just YCS, which only happen few times in a year. 99% tournament in OCG still BO3
Konami's prize support is embarrassing at least attempt to compete with pokemon
its honastly crazy and as a longtime competitive dualist i have ZERO hesitation to call them out on it

I dont think its luck after 8000 players . Same reason people defend rank on MD, after so much consistency the skill will deff out shine.

@@Checkmatehyena00 well theres the luck of not getting an opp with a deck that your deck is bad against, the luck of the 5 cards you draw, the 6 your opponent draws, maxx c, etc. Not saying skill is 0% but luck outweighs skill in this game. Obviously a huge skill gap can overcome luck but after hours of MD ive realized its mostly luck.
@@kennypk Nah, MD proves that you can minimize luck if the duel count is enough.
Ryan Yu winning two DC or Joshua Schmidt winning WCS aren't luck.
@@LS-qs9ju well you could argue that theyve widened the skill gap enough to reduce the impact of luck through deck building/side decking after correctly analyzing the meta. For DC ye the volume of games is also a large factor. But if ryan yu plays vs ryan yu then it comes down to luck right? Also ryan has never won a ycs right?

Best of 1 makes it very luck sacky but you have to be insanely lucky to win a YCS anyway so I dont think it matters that much anyway.
Bo1 is so dumb. Can't see any reason for it other than time constraints. The entire reason yugioh ever had multiple game matches was so a duelist could prove they didnt just get lucky one time.

I was curios how the yugioh scene was doing in 2024, because this game has been shit for over a decade but I wanted to see if people are still just eating all of konami BS while giving them money
And behold, best of one power creep 0 reward 3000$ decks that last less than 4 months - tournaments.
Truly a disgusting sight.
