And also another big thing: be willing to accept counsel and be corrected, everyone is growing and progressing so realising this will help you to be patient with eachother. The relationship will always be in progress. There are many times where we've offended or hurt so best not to react when it happens back to us but just to be patient and overlook the offense if possible

Hey Coach, I just wanted to say that my ex came back after four years. I was shocked, when we ended things he was 100% sure he didn't want me. He went out of his way to make the break-up as painful as possible for me. Four years later, and he reached out to me, sent me flowers, teddy bears, bought me a small piece of land in Ireland, a long letter telling me how sorry he is and how he regrets losing me everyday and has changed oh-so-very-much. Too bad, I never thought I'd get over him but I've found a loving partner since who treats me better than I ever thought any man could. It gets better, it gets much, much better, but only when you go no contact.
I fully expect this to happen to me as well, my instinct tells me this. But like you I have found someone who's better, knows how to unconditionally Love, which is something I didn't have with the narcissist. I know coach Lee doesn't like the word narcissist, but he was one.

Coach, 18 months after our third and last breakup, I ‘d like to say thank you.
I learned that during the five years of our " relationship", she had been lying, cheating and leaving me for other men, and playing the love card when she was getting dumped.
I’m a doctor, she left me to flirt around again, failed and now she is getting banged by a young waiter, who obviously has no feelings. It’s just sex.

@Sonia Fernandes I know, i was good to my ex, she split with me 4 times in 6 months, every time a different reason. Played games, cancelled weekends away, said she loved me then changed her mind. Stood by her when her best friend died of Covid in Nov 21, listened to her cry in the early hours of the morning.. Then she tells me after Xmas, that she doesn't see a future with me, yes she finds me attractive and likes my company, but can get that with other people.. What a fool i am... Day 35 of NC.
@Sonia Fernandes Hi Sonia, thanks for your reply, it's comforting to know other people are going through similar tough times. I do think this is it though for our relationship, she tried the friends route but i politely declined as per the video and i said we are good together. I still think she's grieving from November, i also thought i was her rock, but i guess not. As mentioned she reached out once and i was polite back, but nothing since. The last one is a sticky one, bc obviously if you're in NC, they obviously should know there's a reason you guys aren't talking. I also believe, ego and pride plays a big part. But also, as long as they're not blocked, they should know that, the lines of communication are open.
They should know that, due to the situation, the ball is in their court to contact you
They will tell you they are “set and stoned”… they will tell you all these other things pretty much meaning there’s no chance…
No contact will force them to fight with themselves (and the things they told you) when they become curious about you and there decision. This will pick at them forever if you had a good relationship. Staying in no contact gives you the best chance… or in other words gives you the best odds of your ex losing that mental battle with themselves when they think back on the relationship
It’s sooooo weird! The no contact rule made me go back almost 15 years ago back to when I had fights with my best friend, we got in a fight and I remember we wouldn’t talk! I was always the one to crack and go back and say “sorry” and talk about what went wrong, I remember later on, I was tired of coming back, I looked weak! I looked needy! It came to a point where a fight came up and I didn’t budge with no contact, and she came back to me! This time she was the one to tell herself “wow she’s not talking to me…what did *I* do wrong?!!!” And the no contact made her actually face her problems with the fight, if you keep going back to your friend/dumper, they won’t have the opportunity to look at their own fault and say to themselves “oh wow I messed up!”, they need to experience the breakup/no contact and see if the fight/problems were really worth the breakup and if it can be fixed! If it works with friends~ it will work on your ex!
It's been three years for my no contact with my best friend. She still won't speak to me and got angry when she saw me at her sister's wedding. :/

I hope you can provide more advice for those trying to do no contact in an ldr breakup. I know it's harder than most. I saw your old video on long distance breakups and it was difficult to take in. We reconnected yesterday. I broke the no contact cause I feel I had nun to lose especially seeing her subliminally talking to me thru songs she would repost. (She’s really afraid of rejection) but she poured herself out and said she couldn’t stop thinking about when I said “we’ll never get back together because I won’t see you the same after leaving”. I acknowledged it but was reserved and strong in my response. The conversation was great, to the point, talked about her plans with me then asked can we talk later this week with the smiley face. I told her to just give me a heads up because my work has really picked up. (It really has tripled since the breakup). Thank you coach. I will continue to update.

Almost 3 years after the breakup, chatting with an ex, and nope, she does NOT know what she wants. I don't mean about me, but about relationships in general. She openly wonders if she even wants one, just fill a void once in a while, etc. I think both men and women have internalized the "disposable apps/movies/etc." aspect of modern life unto their lives in general, and how they see others. As sexual tools, as temporary companions, etc. but no true pair bonding. I know for some it's taboo, as if men and women were equal, but it's way more common with women who've "dated around" a lot to have lost pair bonding abilities. They can easily date again, and I do mean easily, but their chance for a true relationship is slim to none.
I texted her about 35 days ago to congratulate her on graduating college. A big long text telling her proud i am of her. Her response: “Thank you for the kind words. I dont mean to sound like a jerk, but can you please not text me anymore? Its not appropriate especially now that I have a boyfriend”. Didnt respond to that text. Been in No Contact ever since. It was about 2 months after our breakup, and its been just over 3 months since we broke up. We dated for a year and a half. I dont know if this is a rebound or not, but regardless, over a month a later im still gutted. Its kinda clear to me that she does know what she wants. And as one final act of loving her, im going to give that to her.
I get it sounds mean but on the other hand she did the right thing and didn't lead you on by continuing to talk to you since she's with someone else.

No contact 26 days today. When we got back together this last time (last year, aug) it was better, but this cycle is getting old. Like each breakup and we get back together, it is better each time. But just wish it could get better without the break away. He is a strange one is all I realize now that I am more secure. I want him back, but questioning if it's worth it anymore. In my case, there are details about him I cannot write here. Apart from No Contact, I literally need two miracles from God. I am a Christian and this guy isn't saved. That's miracle #1. Hi coach, it’s been about 6 months since I went full on no contact. I did make some mistakes and tried to contact my ex here and there over a course of about 2 months after the relationship.. my ex never responded to any of my attempts. I went into no contact after that. Mentally and emotionally I feel lighter than I did at the start of the breakup… I still miss him but if he doesn’t want to be in my life, than I don’t want someone who can’t see the good in me. I’m a catch and anyone that is in a relationship with me is lucky as hell! :) love your videos! I watch them daily! just to keep me sane or to stop me from overthinking! ❤

Hi Lee, I always listen to your videos since they are so soothing. I have moved on from my ex a while ago, but it almost drove me crazy, as I recall. He had no intentions of marrying me after 5 years, and when I left him, he didn't contact me. Instead, he met up (and rebounded) 2 wks later and married her. I feel sorry for his wife. No contact is probably (possibly) driving him nuts since I have no intentions of calling him. I only know where he is bcse of Social Media which I stopped going into over a year ago, and he can't find me bcse I moved and there is no info about me in social media anymore. I took care of myself after suffering for a while, and I'm glad I found you. You're the BEST!!

I listen to Coach Lee, everytime I get anxious wandering how is he doing? I want my ex back, he is worthy never argued or had any problems. 7 years living together it was the best of my life, his mom died and wanted to be alone...5 months now, he is hot and cold but very happy to see me.
I was in on & off NC. Every 2 days I was texting him. But slowly I started to feel no temptation to text them n every 6 or 7 days he would text me with some excuses. Then he started to confess his feelings n how miserable he is without me n we met in person after 2 months. But he still doesn't want to get back. But he kept getting upset that I'm open to date new person while he kept getting upset about it n kept saying I deserve better. Why this confusion and what to do. We went on break 26 days ago. We were talking everyday for 2 weeks until my friend found her on a dating site. She said we should just break up when I told her about it. Went back to get my bed and stuff and we talked for a few minutes. We said we love each other and we have a good connection but i don’t think we are compatible. Been in no contact for 2 weeks. so my ex broke up witfh me because i had trust issues and i was accusing her and i understand now how she felt everytime, but i never meant to hurt her and my intentions were never to harm her and i explained to her that i never meant to accuse her and make her feel guilt, and told her that i couldn't sometime find the right words needed and i asked her questions constantly and i feel terrible because i loved her so much and this was something that i never wanted to do, i truly did love her and i was slowly changing but we broke up we were together for a little over 2years and we honestly had a great connection, she said that i made her feel special and we had some very special moments and deep talks about our life and even went on vacation together, but ive been doing no contact for almost 3 weeks and i still miss her, she recently deleted one more picture of us but still has 2 pictures of us on social media when we went on vacation, i hope there is still hope and i just honestly want to be with her again,ive been also focusing on myself but i still think of her,i hope we can give this one more shot,i sincerely apologized the last time we spoke and i told her it came from the bottom of my heart, i just hope she finds it in her heart to come back and remember the great memories we had

She has reached out and we were in limited no contact phase where I followed Coach Lee's instructions to a T. However, in doing this she started getting angry that I wasn't chasing her and actually started acting like I'm the one who broke up when she even started dating some guy she works with. I haven't heard from her in 4 days this last time after I rebuffed going to her house to help her with some minial task. I think now shes pulling a No Contact on me. Wth. The thing is each day It seems I am losing the desirer to get back with her. That's a little scary to me to be honest.

Take the time during no contact after a breakup to realize that either you were the problem or they were problem. If they were the problem then let them go and don't look back. If you were the problem then fix that and still, let them go and dont look back. Worst thing you can do is live your life looking thru the rear view mirror. It's meant to be then it happen naturally. But it probably won't, so work on your self and that way you'll be ready for the person who is really meant to be with you.
Honestly, that boy confuses me so much. I can usually read him, as I can with most people I’ve known for a prolonged time, but ever since we parted ways I’ve been getting really weird signals. I can read one thing about him clear as day - he doesn’t want to lose our relationship completely. And by that I mean he likely wants our friendship back. I can’t do that though, I feel torn into a million pieces whenever I see him, let alone speak to him. I began no contact before I even knew it was a thing, it just seemed natural. I just can’t tell if he’s looking for our friendship to return or if he just feels pity, but I do know he wants to know me again, most likely not romantically. Though fortunately, I’d met someone new, someone who I feel a connection with. So now, if we want any chance of ever getting together again, we’d need to reach out soon, before any relationships blossom with this new person.
What if she starts seeing a therapist or getting support for her decision, or getting help to move on. Will no contact affect her too? Do you have any video about this?

@@MissBluebirddays it was about 2,5 months or so going NC. I have to say reading my old post back I don't even recognize myself. I moved on. After some time I met someone else who is just wonderful. He gives me the attention and love I don't have to ask for and that's what we all want. Someone who makes us feel special. Now I don't know you or about your situation but trust me you will get over this one way or another, if it's not with your ex you surely will be okay! Maybe this is a period in your life you can discover about yourself. When you're ready you can go out just to explore I don't mean to like do whatever you want or crossing boundaries for yourself but just saying I've been there and it's going to be okay!! My fiancé of 9 years left me start of Oct, we have 3 kids together two of them under 2yo. She was completely finished with me and it broke my heart. I made all the textbook mistakes even though I was binge watching your videos. I was sleeping on my mothers couch for a few months and going down to help with the kids alot and we had talked about trying again. When I made an appointment to go and view a house for myself she said why dont you just come back and stay so I did. She had been out a few times partying like she never gave a damn about me whioe I was in the house looking after the kids and I asked her if she had slept with anybody on the nights out and she confessed she did and that it was a horrible experience and only wants me. Hey, I'm not coach Lee, but I can tell you my own perspective. I dumped my gf 5 months ago because we weren't working things out. We fought constantly. I immediately tried to get her back, and made all the mistakes. Begging, pleading, crying, spying on social media. She wouldn't budge, so to fill a void, I hooked up with someone. And felt like shit. I told her about it later. I explained how I felt, how she was all I wanted, and it was a mistake. We still aren't together, but we've gotten really close lately. More and more romantic I reactions are happening between us
Believe her, man. She probably does regret it. And I seriously doubt she broke up with you for no reason. Don't let it sit though. Talk to her about how you feel, constructively. Go to couples therapy, a professional can help you through this

I feel your pain brotha, my fiance of 14yrs walked out on our 12 yr old daughter and me Thanksgiving night, just said im done an walked out. @david eye my ex dumped me at thanksgiving lol it’s crazy my birthday was a month later and he told me happy birthday after saying im done no talking, all of that. Fast forward to today we talk, even flirt sometimes and we didn’t have a bad relationship or bad break up but i hurt him because i told him i wanted to leave because im lonely ( he works out of state) and i would nag and call him everyday not really having anything to say and he got bored basically and didnt like the nagging and little fights. Less than a month later I found out she had another guy. Im done
im 37 and my ex is 35 and we was in a 11 year relationship. we spilt up a 1 1\2 ago when i left our home but in that time we was sleeping together and getting on very well. we also have a 5yo son. before we split up she got a new social life with a bunch of single mothers that we already knew but would be good for her and our son to have little friends! so a 1 1\2 go by being spilt up but seeing each other and getting on well. the last time we slept together was the 12th of dec and on the 16th she said we need to stop and went cold! my world turned up side and it was the first time i realised id lost everything! anyway 2 weeks go by and i got it out of her that she's talking to someone else! ive truly seen my errors and can see hers but she's not interested because of the new stuff she's feeling even tho at this point she's probably only meet him once, she's really isn't the type of girl to be sleeping around that's why i fear she's really looking at the new guy as a serious mate! i think she's a FEARFUL AVOIDANT! she's turned so cold she's unrecognisable. since that time ive worked on myself by hitting the gym and actually feel loads better apart from this nightmare im living in! what's my chances of getting her back?

She broke up after a month and a half saying she still was in love with her ex and wanted to try to get back together. Our picture is still on her feed and in her instagram. I am confused

I've asked before, but might have missed the answer. If this is a second breakup, and the ex has already experienced life without me, and that's exactly why he is not certain about us second time around, does any of this still apply? No contact with someone who already knows how it is without contact (and in which case, I was the one who broke up with him and came back few months later).

I am 3 months out of a 27 year relationship. My ex calls me most days and will initiate get together as from time to time. Relationship stuff is never bought up. I never call her and I never suggest catch ups. So I’m trying to do a no contact but still allowing her to come to me with calls and we do get together when she suggests. No sex though. Am I doing the wrong thing here ?
Tim, if you DON'T want to see her, and she keeps calling, just BLOCK HER. It's up to you if you want to keep talking to her, but if not, tell her. If she keeps calling, you know what to do.

Similar thing happened to me but my girlfriend wanted a break. She told me she loved me and I was her perfect partner the same day before she broke up with me over text at 1:00 am. I was shocked and she said some really cruel things to me. We were no contact for 5 days then she reached out and told me she will talk to me soon and she’s praying for everything. I’m expecting the worst now. It hurts but I’ve been going to therapy and making changes in my lifestyle to better myself regardless.
