To what I learned, Tokuchi defeated his team owner and bought the team to lead the team march on championship. Being the team owner as well as pitcher, TokuchiI of course faced many challenges and new enemy (worse than his former owner). I have heard the final ending. But it's more interesting for you guys find out the ending yourself. Losing the One Outs bet to Kojima, Tokuchi promised to help the team to win championship. Toa Tokuchi is a man of word.
It's nice seeing underrated anime and manga getting recognition. The manga chapter videos are getting nearly 17k views. You my guy are also underrated. I have and will be supporting underrated channels and you are one of them. I love your content and hope you get the recognition you deserve
Just like One Outs, your review is very underrated. You deserve way more than your current sub counts! Anyways, I watched One Outs twice and Tokuchi became one of my fav charachters
I'm glad I found out about this show a long time ago from a friend who loves psychological battle wits dramas and I'm glad I did because it's now one of my favorite anime and manga Sadly, this is the type of drama that seems to cater towards a very specific niche instead of the typical romance drama these days
Unfortunately. Sports shows aren’t very popular, aside from a few. Plus it’s a sport not many people enjoy unlike basketball or football. I wished more people watched it too because it’s also one of my favorites. If you liked this, you should read liar game if you haven’t already. Made by the same guy, but it’s a psychological game where the protagonist and a guy who’s extremely smart fight their way through mind games. It’s super hype.
@@AngeVNs yeah… I watched the live action. There’s two of them I believe. I think I watched the japanese one. I think there’s a korean one too but I could be misremembering
@@AngeVNs I enjoyed it. Btw I checked and there is a korean one too. Haven’t seen that one, but the Japanese one was great. I watched it on crunchyroll, but idk if it’s still there.
I dont understand, if I tell people if they had seen One Outs they look like is it even intresting. . They dont know about Tokichi vs Johnson the speed star
Still waiting to this day for a second season i watch it in 2015 and just re-watch it today Definitely one of the best anime there not only in sports Personality intelligence characters development of his team Counter strategy's over powered Obstacles mystery of the main character and curiosity to know his past everything there except stupid romance or drama just pure sport mystery strategy and even some funny scenes If you haven't watch it yet i highly recommend you to give it a try
I recently rewatched this anime after randomly remembering this guy's funkyass hair, then proceeded to read the rest of the manga. Absolutely love the mind games in this one and how the Lycaons developed into a strong team thanks to Tokuchi's plans/schemes. At some point, he even thought he was comfortable with the team! But he says a gambler can't have such feelings haha. Its quite the read, although it may not be everyone's cup of tea. I honestly wouldn't have watched this show cause its art style wasn't appealing to me at the time. But I'm now glad my late cousin sat me down and convinced me to watch a few episodes of it with him. Its my favorite baseball anime/manga now thanks to him 🙏
This was one of the first sports anime i watched and i loved it so much that i read the manga afterwards. I was surprised when no one else was talking about it. I just recently got reminded of it because of this video and SOS reaction to it too, so its like a trip down memory lane. Another MAJORLY underrated anime is shura no toki if anyone is looking for something to watch!
Great vid! This show goes on my top 3 anime list personally. I would love to know what your top 10 shows are, especially the underrated ones. Would love some recommendations!
Not gonna lie, I don’t watch very many underrated shows, but if you like slice of life, aria the animation is good. A bit slow, but such a relaxing show and one of my favorites!
@@anihive8487 not really a slice of life kinda guy. More psychological/thriller/action. If you know any good ones, I'm all ears! But maybe I'll give aria a chance. Thanks! 😁
@@KhoiNguyen-kq4jy If you haven’t seen it, monster is a pretty good psychological thriller. Kinda long and slow, but good. Katanagatari is made by the guy who made monogatari and it’s action based. Kinda dialogue heavy tho. There’s also kanata no astra which is kids who get lost in space. Pretty good thriller. Baccano is a great mystery show. The new dororo is pretty good too. Action based but also has a great story. That’s it for my recommendations. Haven’t finished some shows, but from what I’ve seen, they’re good.
The op is not made by a English band, its a Japanese Band that used to always feature vocals in English, Pay Money To My Pain they disbanded in the early 2010's due to the Lead Singer passing, also the Manga is way better than the Anime in my eyes, such a great Psychological Sports Manga.
Yeah it’s more of a high stakes game since it focuses more on the psychological aspect of baseball, so it’s different from your traditional sports show. I just love how it showcases the complexity of baseball itself.
The game within the game. Baseball will break your heart more than any woman ever will. It's a game of failure, you're going to fail more than you'll ever succeed in baseball.
I find it fascinating that you consider Tokuchi as the secondary protagonist. Despite never hearing his inner thoughts while hearing every one else, I never doubted that he's the main protagonist. Is it just me? I think his nature as a gambler and his skill to read people like a poker player was deliberatly revealed to us early on. Kind of like a challenge to us. "Can you read Tokuchi as well as he reads his opponents?" I think he is the main protag and a very unique one at that.
I think he becomes the main protagonist, but we start the series with kojima and we follow his perspective. He kinda gets sidelined, but I thought of him as a protag, but that’s just me
@@anihive8487 Oh no, I'm not saying you are wrong! Au contraire, if you pardon my french. I love your perspective, because until I read it I never realized how different Light and Lelauch are from Tokuchi. In fact I just started to rewatching the show thanks to your insight.
I watched this after the emotional seasons of MAJOR anime. Tbh they are both sports anime being baseball the main sport but the plot is poles apart lol Major was an emotional roller coaster one with death of a love one being the main lead’s driving force and of course his love for the sport, while in One Outs, it’s all psychological battles and gambling with money on the line. It sounds bad putting it like that, but to be honest after Major, this is such a breather. I also learned a lot more about baseball here than in Major. I like this the most among sports anime base on baseball. 🫶🏼
