If my A-levels turn out OK I'll be studying Ancient and Modern History at Magdalen in October. I'm really grateful for the way you demystify the Oxford experience while staying enthusiastic :)
So glad that you overcame the challenges of the first term and that you are now enjoying Oxford. The sound experience-based advice that you have been giving is going to be a great help to pupils considering applying to Oxford. I have just the one question - why is Classics a four-year course?
@@Sam.Kramer Also possibly because Classics involves the study of languages like the four-year Modern Language courses. Pity you couldn’t spend your third year in Athens and Rome studying Classical Greek and Latin in universities there.
And I see is You are always energetic and like ready to go for it. Very fresh mind that you have. I get that energy every time I watch your vlogs. Thank you for sharing this positive thing!
Wow! That's amazing. I'm being so proud of you in your success in life and also every aspects in your own way, you know. It's a positive thing. It's actually harder than said to achieve and being in this positive way of living with one achievement after another eventually through the times. Btw, mate I decided to attend in the next first year class although I was already in the second term of the year. But I tell and explain the facts back to home today, and finally, my mom approves it. So yep from now on, I have one thing to do. Start trying and trying, I hope I can catch up all the things and go well with other factors in my life. Wish me luck! And Thank you for inspiration 😊 My choice is a little crazy but I believe this is the best choice I've ever made in my life and hope it will paid for in some point of the future. Sorry for always talking about my problems here. But it's the only place I can share and feel free and get inspired and motivated for my life. Thanks!
@@Sam.Kramer After all I've tried wishing that I can do my choses way, but they didn't let me. So yeah, I think I'm doomed. It's sad but they don't understand me. Thank you for all.
Another really great video ! Thanks for answering my questions. Do you ever wish you had done Classics as part of a joint degree ? ( Classics and English or History-Ancient and Modern, etc. )
should I apply to christ church? I heard its very racist and biased towards private school students vs state school students. If not what would be a good alternative for a PPE major?
so true, I didnt do stem either , always used my tutorials to fill ijn gaps. How come u made videos provate? Thats annoying how you have to retain all that info over summer. Have many dropped out of your course?? are books expesnive? we had options after undergrad to do Masters then PHD- i didnt do either as i was employed asap with my undergrad
Hey, I don't see why people speak about people with money like it's a bad thing? Like as long as they are nice and don't bully other students I don't see a problem with other people being born into rich families. I also got the vibe that some people are surprised when they meet a lot of people born into rich families at Oxford. Like it's Oxford, what did you expect? I am 100% against discrimination against people with less financial possibilities, me also being in this category, but like, of course, there are going to be very wealthy students at Oxford, and that's not a bad thing.
Thanks for a great first year (and a bit) on RUclips! Onto the next one :)

Thank you Rafael! I guess just tradition, I think all the courses used to be 4 years maybe and they all modernised save classics?
