    We are walking you through the steps we took to build our chicken coop. This coop is completely mobile which makes moving it around the yard daily easy! We wanted something sturdy that would last, yet portable. We designed this chicken coop with some really cool automatic features that make daily chores a lot easier. We are so excited to show you our Modern Farmhouse styled mobile chicken coop. This coop has an attached run and wheels so that you can move it across your yard or field easily. The chicken coop has an automatic waterer and a self refiling feeder made out of PVC pipes, with an extra reservoir so that the chickens can be self sufficient if we go away for a few days. Our layer hens have plenty of space to eat all of the fresh bugs that their hearts desire. We even made this coop to be black and white so that it matches our house and is cute! It is like a pretty chicken tractor! We are excited for our layer hens and all the eggs to come!
    Thanks for watching!

    I'm glad that you did a build video for this coop! This design is so cool. I especially love the feeding/watering systems. Y'all put a lot of thought in this build. Your chickens will have a happy life in their new home. Safe from those coyotes and still getting fresh grass haha

      Thanks! I’m pretty happy with how the water and feed system worked out. Time will tell how well they work long term.🤞 So far, we have not had any loss to predators with these chickens or our meat chickens from this spring. Our dog Lucy probably has something to do with that 😀

    I will live in town and I have no intention of moving to the country. And I’m 75 years old but I love watching these kind of videos I don’t know why I love it so much maybe it’s a dream maybe I want to make of my head and I just don’t have the strength or the willpower to do it. But it’s still fun watching you run your small little place and building that nice little chicken coop and just reminds me of a calmer peaceful life. Hugs and kisses from grandma Sandy and Debbie thanks for another project at another great video

    Thanks

    • @bluebirdhomestead
      @bluebirdhomestead  Год назад +3

      Our main reason for doing this is so that the food doesn’t get wet in any rain and also to keep other animals/rodents from getting easy access to it. Also if we need to close the door and keep the chickens inside for any reason they can still have food and water.
