“Waves” is a coming-of-age family drama film written, produced and directed by Trey Edward Schults. It first premiered at the 2019 Telluride Film Festival and was later released on November 15, 2019, by A24. The film stars Kelvin Harrison Jr., Taylor Russell, Lucas Hedges, Alexa Demie, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Sterling K. Brown and more. It was heavily inspired by the lives and upbringings of its writer/director Trey Edward Schults and its star Kelvin Harrison Jr.; and marks the reunion of the duo following 2017’s “It Comes At Night”. Although not commercially successful, “Waves”, received positive reviews from audiences and critics, who praised Trey Edward Shults' direction, Drew Daniels cinematography, the use of music and the performances of its cast; particularly those of Kelvin Harrison Jr, Taylor Russell and Sterling K. Brown.

LMAO! I’m really sitting there stonefaced for half the scenes while everyone else is like yelling at the screen! 🤣 - I swear I really do LOVE this film. I think I just got overwhelmed & reverted back to my natural introvert state! Y’all got a little peak into the other side of me! 😭😂🙃
Y’all are one of the only channels on RUclips That react to the full movie. This is one of the greatest pieces of modern cinematography made in the 2000s.
Totally agreed!! And I’m honestly not even one to usually think about cinematography so when a film can impress in that way I know it’s next level!

Really enjoy this movie. It’s so well done. Was so surprised to see a reaction of this, I wouldn’t say it necessarily lends it self to reaction content but am I so glad to see y’all did and look forward to seeing what you have to say about it. Don’t take this the wrong way but it makes sense this channel would be the ones reacting to it.
Also I’ve started a letter writing/comment posting campaign to get La Linda Luna (the song Kelvin plays on piano) released if anyone wants to join me, lol

Also, I’m totally down to get La Linda Luna released - where can I sign?!?! I’ve got the entire score and soundtrack in a playlist on my phone and for that one I had to rip the audio from the film. I’d love to have an HQ version!
