Thank you so much for visiting Conor in heartfelt remembrance and with respect. I live in Texas. My little granddaughter, Salem, also born in August like Conor is now his age of Four and a half. So Conor’s tragic story hits home very hard for me when I think of Salem. Tragedy can strike in endless ways. I pray for her protection every day. So how I wish that every single second of March 20, 1991, would have been different for Conor and his parents. But only GOD knows the reason and purpose behind this tragic moment. Only GOD KNOWS.

I live in Italy and remember this tragically sad story so well as my two children were 3 and 2 at the time. Lory , Conor’s Italian mum gave an interview where she revealed that had she not been pregnant at the time ( she had only just found out and was only a few weeks gone ), she would definitely have followed her precious son and thrown herself out of that same window that he had fallen from , seeing as she would have had nothing else to live for. Years later, tragedy happened again as that very baby that was inside her womb, now a grown man , took his own life …. Poor Lory 😢😢

I could never have children and I can only imagine the utter devestation and heartbreak losing a child causes . I know this from my own parents when my twin died and they spoke about her when I was growing up. Nearly 50 years later and I never say anything about her as the pain I can see and hear when I did try to ask in the past my dad has never spoke of her. Nobody ever gets over the death of a child , or anyone , just learn to live with it and the indescribable heartbreak and pain as best one can …

Such a beautiful tribute to Conor, and handled with the utmost respect, extra special when it involves a child. There is a heart wrenching backstory to Eric’s, Tears From Heaven, told as I recall by Phil Collins, Eric’s good friend. Having written the song for Conor, Eric called Phil and played him the song as he wasn’t sure it was any good. Considering the emotions involved I imagine it clouds one own judgment, but Phil told Eric it was brilliant and should be recorded. The rest, as the saying goes, is history. I hope I’ve got this correct and more than happy to correct any errors if someone recalls it better than me. Rest in peace little Conor and may your soul be reunited with Dad when that time comes 🙏🏻

You did it well. As a huge fan of Eric's, I remember exactly where I'd been the night when I came home and heard the news. One of those moments you never forget and always remember where you were when you heard it. I'd only seen Eric just two weeks before it happened as part of his mammoth 24 nights at the Royal Albert Hall. He seemed tired (not surprisingly!) but gave it his all as he always does. I'm sure he was looking forward to a well deserved break then tragedy struck. Many people wondered what on earth Eric would do following such a tragedy and of course we all know the songs that followed. 2 years later in March 1993, I went to see him again the night after he won the armful of Grammy awards for Unplugged and he received a standing ovation just walking onstage before he'd said a word or played a note. There was such an outpouring of love towards Eric in that moment that I'll never forget.

Such a pure little soul goes straight up to heaven, no delays, no frontier checks.
God would have obliterated any pain he would have otherwise undergone and he is at present enjoying himself in the company of Jesus and the angelic hosts. I hope his parents see this and believe it, it will help them on their own journey. God bless.

Paul. Firstly I want to say the respect you show is beautiful. Thank you.
I read an earlier post saying that in Scotland it’s said you die twice. Once when the breath leaves your lungs and the second time is when people stop speaking your name. When my grandson died I remember a lovely friend telling me to always remember to talk about him. Don’t let his name become a distant memory she said. And 4 years on I talk of him often. Even though my husband struggles with it still. But I am keeping his memory alive . He would have been 4 years old now! Anything like his dad, he would have us running around like crazy! Love you little man. Sleep tight.💙
