Nice project by a Eagle Scout. Funny thing my wife are building one this fall in southeastern Oklahoma that will be larger with water catchment, filter, etc. So far we have two, 270 gallon IBC Totes. I can say you gave a former BSA Commissioner some new ideas for mine.
@ Josh Really glad I found your channel. Was lookin at wall tent video's and yours eventually popped up, watched the rest of your vids and subbed. Like the laid back style, very pleasant to watch. Appreciate your efforts, thank you man.
Thanks B 9! I think this is the start of something great! We will strive to drop a video once a week and have a full cabin build coming up this summer!
Great job, I've been pondering doing an outhouse on my little property, Right now I just have a composting toilet in a vinyl shed with a pvc shower stall . This just made up my mind lol. Thanks!
Thanks for the great video and project! I was wondering where you found the colored corrugated metal? We clearly have a similar mindset, we have a 16x20 wall tent and a Woodland Mills HM130MAX. We have been considering something like your outhouse/shower project and, as a result, stumbled across your great videos.
@@mylonelymountain fantastic. Looks solid! I wish I was better at video blogging like you. People like myself learn so much from this type of content. Keep it up!
Not sure if you posted or shared the design plans. This is very well done and am interested in building something very similar to replace my current outdoor shower at camp
I appreciate the conservation of space and materials. But what do you do for the smell? Lots of camps with outhouses over the years and the smell is terrible. Who wants to shower next to it?!?
I'm honestly not getting a smell at all. we sprinkle cedar sawdust after use and do not throw paper down the hole - all in all I have been very happy with all of it - surprisingly!
Yeah, the smell and then the risk of water from the shower going into the hole for the toilet. This seems like a good idea at first until that hole is almost full and someone makes a bad batch of chili, lol. I'll keep my toilet away from camp, lol
Where's the part where you talk about the water system, how you get water off grid, and how it all works? Misleading intro, or did you just edited it out?
Love the look inside as opposed to a framed look. 👌🏼
Cool beans, nice job.
Thanks for the visit
Excellent! Thanks from Hells Canyon, fra

Hey josh, great job on the video. Subd after watching cabin build. How is the shower/outhouse combo holding up after a year?

Hi Bob! The metal product is called Fabral and is available at Home Depot in the PNW! Thank you so much for watching!!
Are your supports 4x4? We are thinking of doing a similar build on 6x6 skids. Very nice work!
Yep. Posts are 4x4s!

How would a fella go about getting a copy of your building plans for this? It would be a perfect fit for what I need.
Hey Scott. Sorry. I made it up as I went good sir.

@@destroy43You think the hole will fill up with water? C’mon now.

That's in my video called Homesteading, 20 months in 20 minutes! 😀
