The pumped power plant is running near Pune, mulashi -bhira hydal power plant owned by Tata. discharged water from bhira power plant is stored in a big reservoir and it is pumped again in mulashi dam as required through 2000mm rising main.same turbines are used for pumping.... MP
Can you talk about 😢 balganga dam it's been on middle on halt since last 14 years its gonna feed the water too navi mumbai or naina mega city I'm not sure but yes sidco have responsibilities of this projects

More from the construction point of view because most of them are made in 90s & at that time constructing such a humongous super structures was not easy, such an example is Bhakra Nangal Dam, a documentary on how it was constructed is available on yt , check it out you will be amazed, it might give you some inspiration for your future videos.

Wrong info, koyna doesn't have any pumped hydro power plant. It has 4 stages which are conventional hydro power plant with 1960 MW which makes it India's largest hydro power plant in terms of install capacity

Koyna dam one of the main reason of evolution of geophysics in india. In 1967 an earthquake occurred due to loading and unloading of dam to study this eq National geophysical research institute developed
the reason why we need to do survey before starting any project! its sad that those people and the wild life especially the wildlife had to suffer so much!, tho I'm happy about the dam , but those gov people could have done much better work , transporting the existing wildlife to somewhere else , better allocation for people and many such things, but that bhukam thing was nothing short then miracle! thanks to our indian Engineers!
