    One of the reasons that the Pinot Noir was so expensive is that 2005 was one of the best wine growing seasons in many a long year. Basically there was no bad French wine in 2005 and it is said that for the first time ever, in about another 30 years or so, 2005 might produce the perfect bottle of wine. Much of 2005 has yet to be released and what is on sale all tends to be very expensive..

      That same 2005 vintage Romanee St Vivant Grand Cru are currently trading at more than £32,000 a bottle. I should have bought one or two bottles.. I know one thing is true - I would have bought and opened one and drunk it there and then.. I adore Pinot Noir.. It's soooo good - liquid velvet.

    Eric, you really found yourself a keeper in Allison. I mean, she has everything one could wish for in a mate: that unsinkable sense of optimism (1:26); the way she takes the high road in a domestic squabble (5:13); a charming accent (5:49); those stylish pant creases behind the knee (6:10); an apparently eidetic memory (6:44); elegant dance moves (6:57); an impeccable knowledge of fine wines (7:33); such an angelic singing voice (10:28); and, of course, the poise and grace (10:33). Good job, man!

    British canals were in a terrible mess after the second world war. A lot of the restoration was carried out by fresh water fishermen, members of local angling clubs who dredged stretches of canal in their area and re stocked them with fish. I think in the late 40s Birmingham Angling Association took a big company to court over a polution issue and won.
    This work was carried out, sometimes in the depth of winter and before the boating fraternity got going.

    • @dogstar75
      @dogstar75 7 лет назад

      no, birmingham native here. thats a brummie accent, sounds like my niece. A yam yam accent is much, much stronger

    • @solatiumz
      @solatiumz 7 лет назад +1

      There is not "one" Black Country accent. Yam Yam is solely Wolverhampton. People who are from Wolverhampton "proper" have the weakest accent, Wednesfield, Willenhall and Bilston are much stronger.

    • @hannahwilliams9168
      @hannahwilliams9168 6 лет назад

      solatiumz I’d say Dudley is the strongest as that is proper Black Country- I live here, willenhall and wednesfield actually sound a bit posh to us, so does brum

    • @solatiumz
      @solatiumz 6 лет назад

      Wednesfield is a lot stronger than Wolverhampton, but Dudley/Tipton etc can be a lot broader than Wednesfield, it depends on social standing.

    • @hannahwilliams9168
      @hannahwilliams9168 6 лет назад +1

      solatiumz yeah definitely more than Wolverhampton but I don’t really count that as part of the Black Country it wasn’t originally was it? I don’t think it depends on what ‘class’ you’re in though, unless middle/upper class put on a posher accent because they feel it differentiates them from working class. Which is basically being a snob
