This shows that flash is the equalizer in any photo gear setup. Even an iphone can take good photos with the right light. I have tried this setup with an ipho e 13 pro max for some holiday photos and to be honest, it works great!
Just love this. I have a Canon 5D Mark 4, but to honest I just love using my phone. It is quick, simple and so much lighter. I can’t wait until we are at the stage when this kind of photography takes over and I here you say it won’t happen, well let’s look back hundred years and see where we have come from. Great video 😊👍
Very cool. Love the range of possibilities this opens up - I can envision how I can replicate much of this with my existing gear. I find Pye's videos and approaches to be very accessible and understandable.
I’ve had 3 of these lights for over a year and absolutely love them! I use them daily. On location scouts I’ll use one with my phone to sample some lighting prior to a shoot.
Gotta love photography. "Minimalism", yet still over $2000 lol. I'm not a beginner, but if I was, I would have liked to have seen a video like this with more beginner-accessible gear. Otherwise, why not just go with my professional setup that still costs under $3000 with hardly anymore baggage? Still, love the video ;) I learned a lot about photography when I was just getting into it nearly six years ago from your channel. Keep that knowledge coming!
Agree. I have a Galaxy S22 and I've found that the tiny flash is insufficient for fill with strong backlight scenes (beach sunset portraits). I suggest that the next versions of smartphones address the inadequacies of the tiny flashes. Perhaps, with the Galaxy line, have a Galaxy S23 C for "C" being camera optimized. Bigger flash, bigger battery.
Exactly! It annoys me a lot that only Profoto has in the market something like that. But Profoto only sells things for an exorbitant price… 😕 I so wish I could have more options on the market to choose from. I have been dreaming about it for years.
@@upupawayandbeyond strange that godox had the A1 flash and transmitter in 2017, but wound up going no where with it and abandoned the technology for Iphones users and never supported above the IPhone 7.
This is a great tutorial. I wish I could afford the new A10. Just not in the budget. However I would love to see what you can do with c1 plus. That is now 299.99 dollars and was more viable for an iPhone. How about doing similar with that flash?
I wish Godox implements flash controls via an app. A small adapter (which plugs into the phone) to transmit would also be good. No the A1 thing was an additional item to carry, not the same.
@@Lucy-dk5cz there is no product that does this. The one that was, was an additional thing to carry along with the lights. With the speedlights and the small AD100 an app to control the lights would be awesome. I can carry a small AD200 on my travels and get images which would otherwise requires an additional camera. This is not for all but would be great for people who want to travel light and with increasing capabilities of smartphone cameras, this will be a big value addition.
@@Whatreally123 There is a product from Godox that you can use, its a trigger that your iphone can connect to and it syncs with speedlights/strobes wirelessly
If anyone have any suggestions for doing the same thing but with a android please let us know. Thank you so much. Great presentation. Thank you very much
The Godox X2T is no longer supported with synchronous flash. Their app is only for adjusting the flash and testing as of last year for Godox service support
Idk if it’s just me, but I’m not really impressed with this setup. The first two scenes just don’t look great. Loved the composition for the last one, but that flash looks very limiting
Has any of the usual suspects created products that speak with phones via bluetooth? - Pocketwizard - Godox - Nissin - Radiopoppers - Paul C. Buff How are these companies still sitting on their laurels?
$1200 flash light. Too expensive. May as well go full studio without the bluetooth. Then again so much money in the economy some bitcoin millionaire will buy this just to take 2 selfies and then never touch it again.

A shout out to the professional, patient and exquisite model.

what kind of flash do you use with your 5D? and if you use an iphone what kind of external flash do you use?
awesome but are there any less pricy alternatives?

Wow she is stunning! Makes it easy to photograph. Good tips Pye!

Nice but that little a10 cost arm and leg 😀 Still nice video. Hopefully this technology will be more accessible in the future
yea.. fk that lol i cant get a new camera for that price hahah

@@elliotstern8582 A huge mistake. They could be leading the market in that field by now
Great idea 👍👍 hello from México
does godox have anything like this?
This is very cool! Just a general question, is there a specific A10 that is being used or an A10 camera flash from DSLR camera/mirrorless?

There is/was two different products that do this for Godox. Why do you want a third

Most people shooting with a phone won’t be spending $1000 on a flash
while this shows what phones can do nowdays its too expensive to make it viable solution. Still ... great presentation
Can we got more iPhone and a10 videos ?
That would be sweet!!
Super keep it up bro👍
What stand are you using??
CRAPTASTIC... i needed this word!
I love to have this gear
But there’s no delivery in Nigeria

Fabulous. The light though is out of budget range
Shout out for Kiara!!!!
"It's all about the vision, not the gear" - can someone hold my $1.2k strobe for me real quick pls? 😂
"Off-camera flash" or Profoto only?
It's nice to have the extra control, but be fair and edit the shots without the flash as well. Otherwise show the side by side of two unedited shots.
Can i become yur student sir? Really amazing skill 😁
Can’t you use a less expensive light
A Godox X2T will solve the $$$ problem, does the same thing for less and gives you the option to use whatever Speedlight you have and mount

too much to ask that they make a flash that doesn't cost as much as the phone itself?

To expensive, at this price no one will buy. Why not just a flash triger for cell phone at 299$ ?
The short answer is - Godox X2T
and now she looks like she has a dead cold hand compared to the rest of her.
Only $1k 🥲😖😰🤯🤬😵💫🥴🥴🥴
