LOL what a difference! Amazing discovery! That furminator works great! It's amazing the amount of fur it comfortably pulls out of my dog! Thank you for comparing with the other brush. Well, the critters will have so much fun making a warm nest with all that fur!!! I used to save those knitted sacks onions came in and used them to put my dogs fur in them, tie it on a tree and enjoy watching the birds pull the fur out for their nests! Great video and great little helper!!!
@@farmmom7140 By the way, Mike has helped me out a ton with my fig cuttings. Been subscribed for a while. Subbing you too! Have a great day and stay safe.
@@apatterson8128 Thanks for subbing my wife's channel and glad the fig videos are helpful. This Furminator is amazing isn't it! I love this thing. It keeps the dog hair out of my house, lol.
Just bought one and used on my Shiba/spitz! It is honestly worth the hype. It got all her undercoat out. I was a bit put off on the price but never had a product work sooooo well! Recommend this to everyone
Thanks for watching! Our German Shepherd is 3 years old now. Seems like just yesterday we were packing him around as a puppy 😊 Ruger has been the most gentle, loyal, and even calm family dog. You'll love the Furminator! Good luck with your new puppy.
Using a furminator brush actually cuts the dogs hair. Use a good slicker brush and rake. Follow up with a good metal comb. I have 2 newfoundlands so believe me i know about shedding of undercoat.
I feel like people think the furminator works well because they don’t realize it’s actually shaving off healthy guard hairs too. But i guess if you want a shaved dog without looking like its shaved to much thats the way to go.
Thank you for being so sweet and gentle! The first video I watched gave me anxiety..she was so aggressive with the poor pup. Definitely get one for my Jack Russel
Hi, great video. What model did you use, Is that the large hair or the short one?. I want to use furminator on my 1 year old GS, he has similar hair to yours :)
Hey Michele, thanks for the idea. I finally got it figured out and added a link to the product in the description if you're interested in checking it out. Have a great day!
W👀W! Shellie, I think you could actually make another Ruger, with all the fur that tool pulled out, LOL! Seriously, that was fascinating, I need to tell my daughter. On second thought, I'll just send her a link to this video. She has three dogs, and this tool would really help her with grooming them.
online before purchasing this item there’s a warning stated about the product exposing you to chemicals and correlating to cancer , what does that mean ? How ?
Thanks for watching! I wouldn't use this brush till your German Shepherd is an adult and has both coats. (main coat and undercoat). At this age they only have there top coat and I would recommend a slicker brush.
I use a big toothed comb, and slide it down the regular brush. It pulls the hair right out, although frustrating sometimes but it helps if you still use it. My Anatolian Shephard weighs 141lbs, and sheds like a bear. Lol
Thanks for watching Arshia. To me the Furminator thins the coat a little bit because your pulling out the undercoat. I would say no to it shortening the hair length. The only way it would possibly do both more than you want is if you brush in one area for a long time. Which would make it uncomfortable for you pet.
Wonder what my great Pyrenees would do to that brush. I got to get him professionally groomed I think and then try to keep it up better. It's fun having a long long hair dog. my dog heads right for the pain when it gets low enough that it's just muddy and then finds some sticker Burr patches to rolin. Had to get him allergy shot. He is trying to cost me an arm and a leg.
The Furminator is amazing. I think it would work perfect for your Great Pyrenees if you purchased the correct size and hair length brush. I couldn't believe the hair and under coat I got from brushing him, just amazing!
@@farmmom7140 I'll have to brush my dog and send a picture to Mike 😂 I literally get a medium sized dog worth off of him. I'll definitely have to look into that brush.

@@MikeKincaid79 we took him to get groomed and it took like hours at the groomers. Thanks for watching Andretti-Love! I usually spend about 10-15 minutes brushing Ruger and cleaning up the loose hair I pull out. I will be doing a video her shortly about the food I feed Ruger and the reasons why. I've only fed him Fromm Dog Food since he was a pup. I use the Heartland~ Grain Free~ Large Breed Adult line. I love Fromm dog food for many reasons. I will discuss why in my video coming up. Your Dalmatian sounds lovely, there such beautiful pets! 😇
My lab hates it even though I’ve done it regularly since I got her when she was 8 weeks. I use a brush similar to the furminator she has amazing beautiful fur. But Damn when she is in that period theres hair everywhere doesn’t matter how much I brush her.
Thanks for watching! When using the Furminator are you pressing gently while brushing? If your brushing over the same spot for awhile I've noticed it can be uncomfortable for your pet. Especially if your applying lots of pressure.
@@odjumpman8653 I don't think labs are considered long hair. It's bad for breeds like the long hair german shepherd and the golden retriever. I used to use it on my German shepherd golden retriever mix and then I started taking him to a master groomer. She showed me where it was breaking his hair and that's why you think you are getting alot of the undercoat. For long hair breeds it is better for their coat to use an undercoat rake, long pin slicker brush then the comb and I see a huge difference in his hair now. But for labs I think they are short hair so it would be fine.
😱 Yikes! Just use a German or USA MADE #SLICKERBrush with tiny curved wire pins, but NOT just a Pin-Brush, that I agree. Pin brushes are very good for skin health circulation. I breed White Polar Bear-like, Heavily Double-Coated #Samoyeds & I’ll NEVER used the #Furminator again for 2 important reasons. 1) Blades/Spikes can irritate even abrade & badly infect dogs’ sensitive skin, esp. axillary skin (all 4 arm-pits) peri-anal area & under ears... Been there done that. OUCH 😣 But more importantly - 2) the Furminator is 🇨🇳 MADE IN CHINA! The blades/teeth are far too sharp & dangerous. They break hair, can cause skin infections, that will hurt the dog & your bank account @theVet too. PLEASE? Get a SLICKER. They DO WORK Better. ❤️ yours & Mike’s channels. Keep going girl!
Thanks for the feedback. I will give the slicker brush try. I definitely brush him slow and gently with the Furminator. I also don't over brush one area to much to prevent any irritation or balding on any one area. Thanks again Deni.

Dude this is an unfair comparison because you're brushing an area which you already raked with a comb 🪮, fair would be the opposite side of the dogs
