I would love for a future Spellforce Game to have playable sub-factions, like having the ability to play Norcaine as the Burning Empire or as Lar, or play humans as Empyria, Nortander or the Highmark.
Armsman are the most useless unit in Spellforce 1 TBH, despite their lore. once you can build Paladins never again do you need to bother with Armsmen. in my own gameplay and private freegame mode campaign with my 2 brothers I gave this unit more armour than the Paladin and the halberd that the Briarwolf armsmen have. that put it in the place I think that it should have been to begin with.
They are not useless at all, they only require iron whereas the Paladin needs Aria which can be/get spare in time. I'd rather use the remaining Aria for healers in combination with Armsmen compared to Paladins only.
@@S13iPNiR exactly, thugs are cheap as chips and units you can just expend no problem. 70 iron is a too much for this potato sack man with tinfoil armor.
I always loved their armour, and they come in handy when you can't afford Aria.
Spellforce is one of the few franchises that feels really high fantasy

The Winterguard as an alternative for the Elves would be so cool.
You dont need a Army full of Paladins, all you need is a hand full of Armsman's (Landsknecht)
"much enemy much ore"
(Georg von Frundsberg)
Is such a shame they never added them in Spellforce 2
I love these guys, they were so cool
10/10, would spam again
I wanna know about the others too.
I love this videos, will wait for all units lore from sf 1 and maybe others if you gonna do it ❤
This series is great!

I am a bit confused by Paladins.
Yes, they are better.
But I feel like they are busy casting their buff spell instead of fighting.

@@S13iPNiR ive played the game for 20 years, they're useless.
@@Stedman75 as did I and for me they weren't useless. Calling them "the most" useless is funny while units like the Orc Thugs exist ...
