I've been vegan for almost 2 years, eat mostly healthy with fruits and vegetables daily. I used to have above 400 triglycerides before going vegan. The problem is I am still well above 200, I want to know if high triglycerides are linked to some vitamin deficiency or faulty DNA as it runs high in most of my family. Is there a way to know this? Doctors just tell me I have to take astovastatine but They don't dig into the root of the problem. Thanks for reading me.
@@veniqe I am NOT vegan or Keto and eat meat, eggs, fish, veggies etc. I did a blood test September 2, 2023 My triglycerides were 63 and my HDL was 70. LDL was 125 and total Cholesterol was 205. My A1C score was 5.2 I drink Rum and club soda like 4 times a week until almost drunk. However, I intermittent fast and ONLY eat ONE meal a day between 6 to 8pm mostly. Should not by blood work we much much worse? I know healthier people with worse blood readings than me. And none drinkers too. What the hell is up with here?
@@remogatron1010 Yeah, the human body is a strange beast. I live on raw animal fat, raw meat, raw dairy, and raw-ish eggs. I eat a slice of bread once a week. I eat junk food once a week. I share a piece of fruit with my daughter once or twice a week. I eat zero veggies. My triglycerides are 40mg/dL; my ApoB is 53; my LDL is 42.54mg/dL; my HDL is 69.6/dL
@@veniqe Almost every single Keto person I met or seen post on internet has higher than normal LDL and total cholesterol scores. Maybe they eat "dirty" keto foods. Your numbers look good. I figured your HDL would be higher than me? Still good score though. Some Keto people have like in the 80's scores. How is your LDL score not high? Lots of fats there. Good genetics no doubt.
Funny how you keep throwing 'oh, and fat!' In there when talking about the truth of carbohydrates being the reason for elevated triglycerides. Gotta keep your eye on the agenda.

And the flip side is many KETO diet people have low Triglycerides, high HDL numbers, but terrible LDL and total cholesterol numbers more or less.

Would a fruit based vegan diet cause a rise in my triglycerides?
